Let's not be all coy about this: there were huge numbers of supporters who wanted this club beaten each week in order that Benitez lost his job. That had an effect on the whole organisation. It was an indulgence that's led us directly to this point where we've left it too late and we're dancing on the trap door with 3 other clubs and hoping the other three fall through it before we do.

That vocal and physical opposition to Benitez has done us untold damage. It might just have cost us our PL place.

Entitled to his opinion. We have hardly had new manager bounce. His selection and tactics away from home would have been crucified had it been the FSW still in charge. We must improve dramatically for this guy to be proved wrong

My personal stance (which is usually flawed) is that if it’s too toxic, and it can be, I think it’s better the user choose to not use it or block the culprits.

These fans would have been silenced had the manager employed tactics that were successful. You can swim in De Nile all you want but fact remains that he was an absolute joke of an appointment and his sacking came at least 4 weeks to late

I gave up social media for lent and I highly suggest the rest of you do the same. Twitter, FB, Instagram, it’s all super toxic. So instead, I’m spending my time reading this forum which is a totally stable and nontoxic environment.

This season is the boards mistake.
Benitez alienated players probably to the point they didn’t want to bust a gut for him, and probably didn’t like the way some of their team mates were treated.
Under Lampard they are working harder, even in defeat they seem to be working harder.
I would say it’s more lack of talent or form than actual effort,

Team of two halves under Benitez. Awful first half and then get a reaction second half. Even the games he won we were usually losing at half time. It caught up with him that he couldn't motivate the players/set them up right for the start of the game
