If Kenwright still had ownership now I would still be annoyed that we hadn't spent any money on top of what we have sold especially with this bumper TV deal. Not as simple as that I know but am grateful we now have a direction (I hope we do) we are going to go in. Under Kenwright and Elstone we were living day by day, no business plan in place or the structure to go forward. It's good we seem to be getting this now, I just think the fans need to see a statement of his intent in playing staff because we don't pay out match tickets to watch Steve Walsh pick players out we pay our money to see quality on the pitch. Lets hope his intentions are rubber stamped this time next week.

Im not sure you know, if Bill was still in charge things would be different for me.

As a club we have spent a vast sum of money replacing our manager and back room staff, if Bill was still in charge I would probably be going through the accounts and seeing how much money we have "available" and how much we have actually spent. I havent felt the need cos to be honest I thought things would be different.

Currently they arent tho, everything we have done this summer so far, was possible under the old structure of the club.

I mean rough maths :

Manager compo 10m
Player purchases 0

TV deal increase 40m

So we still have 30m in the kitty.

One of the criticisms of the old regime was the lack of communication from the club. I appreciate moshiri is a private man, but when you are owner of a football club you need to have more dialogue with the fanbase. For whatever reason, the echo seems in the dark with regard to moshiri's intentions. Saying that they have run a story recently of joe andersons meeting with moshiri, who spoke positively about the vision moshiri has for the club. Would there have been any harm in moshiri putting out a statement on the OS about his aspirations and vision for the club. It would certainly remove some of the uncertainty amongst the fanbase.
If you own a controlling stake in a massive public institution you can kiss goodbye to privacy. Someone needs to get that message through to him asap. A paragraph in the club programme and encouraging words from the city mayor wont suffice.

Was that the increase was it £40 Million normally I would have done the same been looking at all this as stick to beat him with but as with you thought things had just changed.

Well it all depends on league placing and other variables, but we finished 11th last season and got 82m, lets assume we get to 7th, thats worth 137m.

You want ambition... this is what we need for Everton Football Club, where is our glorious new leader, hiding in the shadows...

am i right @davek ?

At Villa that's crazy talk. And it's the type of statement that would hold Moshiri hostage if he were to make it. But there should at least be some parameters set on what constitutes progress in the short to medium term. What objectives would be uppermost in that more vague time period?

Instead we have nothing, and then people start to fill in the gaps themselves. He needs to define his vision or he'll look on as a lot of people become confused at where he's taking us.

Have been quite surprised how quiet BK has been, normally he's chomping at the bit when things seem to be going well to get his mug out there.

To play devils advocate on my own post, it could be argued that the increase in tv money doesnt get paid till next Summer, thus meaning that the kitty is infact currently empty if you factor in the compo paid to managers.

Why should the owner[majority shareholder] make his plans for his club public ,cause a few lads on the net aren't happy, I've been a season ticket holder for longer than I care to remember but don't feel entitled to be privy to the clubs plans. we're supporters not board members. He should given the benefit of the doubt for now or until proved a fraud anyway.

Getting your knickers in a twist because Moshiri hasn't given you an in depth vision of his plans. He's a victim of people's imagination, they've set some oddball goals, now said goals are yet to be reached the cry arsing goes to new levels. This time next week is when a fume 'may' be appropriate, but now it's too early IMO.

The comfort I'm currently taking is that the three main signings made came out of nowhere, not a mention until some reputable journalist got a hold of it, what I mean by that is 4 big-ish transfers could break out of nowhere, we could beat Stoke and go into the international break in our strongest position in years, maybe even decades.

That's the positive slant I'm sticking to until Thursday AM anyway.

Maybe there isnt a great deal to say yet, until everything is in place why make any statement which will then be used as a stick to get beaten with if plans fall through
