We are on the rise under this fella trust me, I ain't no fool and I see the potential this club has now under Moshiri.

Once the new stadium is announced on the docks the pessimists among us will start to believe.

It's coming, we can do a City without waisting half a billion in the process, we as a club are smarter than that.

Information sharing is unrealistic IMHO, clearly currently the club should be doing more, but only a very foolish business operates in plain sight.

I'm not talking about financials, or perhaps player issues, but strategy, direction, branding, fan issues, the wider context of the PL, Europe, pre-season etc - all the stuff the supporter forum should be addressing meaningfully but fail to do so.

I like the way while at Everton he didn't get a game for England at the Euro's, but now he's at City there's talk of building the team around him.....Pep's done a fantastic job here.........

They'll demand the England arm band for the young prince now, and Fat Sam will be hounded into an early grave if he denies him it.

Is there anything worse than the English football press? they are utter pond life.

The supporter forum are only given a narrow remit by the club.

They do nothing of consequence. The club drive the agenda that the forum discuss.

Any expansion on the above, is a consequence of Moshiri's inward investment.

I think they tried that kind of thing with Kipper back in the day, I seem to recall it was a shocking failure.

As I say, the club should certainly be doing a lot more in regards giving us a clue, I know they do have the fans forum thingy tho.

It's a tough one to achieve, for example how do you elect a fan representative to the board? Someone from the shareholders association? Fan Forum, GOT, Toffeeweb, Blue Union etc etc ?

Proves the 'sell to buy' theory which is common practice for almost every team, unless they are playthings run by a multi billionaire, which we are not. The greatest exponents of sell to buy are Southampton, and they are run by a family worth six times as much as Moshiri. Over this window and January Everton should have a positive net spend, it depends if any money is received for Niasse, McCready and a few others and if we can persuade a couple of £30 million plus players to join us. We will certainly need replacements /successors to Barry and Jags, and Baines by the end of this or next season. It is a gradual process. The timing has to be right...you sell when its profitable, to at least partly finance incoming improvements. Its like running a fleet of cars...you don't change them all at once. Over a few windows the plan will be to improve the team/squad when opportunity arises, and spend big when there is justification, and all these decisions will be made by the board, and will not be based on pub talk, hearsay, rumour, or the whim of supporters.

Sell to buy is old school, I mean its so 2015 its laughable, 2016 is here and with it comes 100m TV money, which has yet to be touched with more to come next year.

Net spend should be through the roof for EVERY team this season, we don't even need to get close to spending Moshiri's money, just the TV money would be sexy as hell... Hell even half of it would potentially make a properly impressive window. You say we should bide our time before spending big... Why?
We can spend big every season thanks to Sky, BT etc, Blow 100m? meh, we will get more the year after... Its fine.

That's where we are without any investment... as a club we can do that, we can blow 100m on dross, fail and do it again next year off the back of the TV money. We actually CAN do that, that is how massive this TV deal is.
Yet a quick reality check shows that so far we have spent about what we received for the sale of Stones. relatively zero spend. Its poor... So far.
