Sorry you are right why would a journalist ever make a quote up or twist anything ever

From a journalists point of view, if you were going to make a story up, you'd make it about a big club that you can generate large revenue from the story, not us. It might be untrue but I don't see any credible reason why a journalist would make it up.

I hate the way some people that have this theory that the press are always against Everton. Yeah, I'm sure there's a few red nose journos who like mocking us but the sad fact is, the lack of interest in Everton from the media isn't some massive conspiracy by the media and Sky Sports as they hate us, it's because we're not a money generating entity like the clubs with a large, worldwide fanbase.
