Moshiri would release a statement officially though proper media channels or as a club statement - not via a dodgy text.

Or so you'd hope. If that is legit, we've got a big problem moving forward, as Moshiri is quite clearly not the saviour many of you blindly hoped for.

i reckon it was the fella in that bedsit that kenwright was gonna sell to previously.

I must admit, it looks like a very clear wind-up of Jim White, rather than anything malicious on his part.

The "watch this space" phrase should have rang very loud alarms if so, and as broadcast journalist he should have verified his source.

In fact, that's why it's so weird - the idea that someone like White would say such rubbish and not secure its' validity is beggars belief. It'd be a journalist version of Ali Dia.

Also, given this is potentially libelous, the club should be denouncing these statements at this point if they are untrue. Again, it shows our absolute incompetence either way - either make a statement through the website, not a balloon of a journo by text, or quickly state the things are false.

Is it cynical for me to think he's just a front man for kenwright?

'Watch this space' and Elstone who I suspect can't organise a good sponsorship deal even if he was running Manchester United, being kept on made alarm bells ring.

Screams incompitence, coupled with possibility Koeman may of been had off here. (Again strikes me as move by snake oil salesmen Bill)

Have to say it's strange that the club have not come out and rubbished this. The longer they don't the more credence that statement gets. Of course if it's legit then

I would like to hope Moshiri never sent Jim White thos texts, not because he failed if they are true, but because its really smalltime and something kenwright would do not a supposed top class businessman.

Surely you don't think it's all an elaborate wind up of Jim White as opposed to someone trying to save a bit of face after publicly being pied on national television by a player?

Jim White is an absolute bell, but that's tremendous stuff from him there. He's capitalised on the vulnerability caused by a disappointing deadline day and sent heads firing off to the international space station. Well done Jim.

Greg & The Echo say they're trying to get an answer....

That was 2 hours a go. If the Echo can't even be fed a party line from Doogan or Kenyon then there is something a miss about the whole thing and Everton right now.

Is Kenyon on Twitter as well as Doogan does anyone know?

Clear the lot out. From elstone to Pr department and personal relations. Even offical YouTube Twitter and Facebook should have new PR team.

We have had an awful transfer window and been let down with promises that haven't been kept.

However club are tweeting about Season ticket sales and under 23 interviews.

Inept.

That Enner Valencia art for his signing on social media was the worst part of the window.

Don't care what anyone say's i believe Moshiri said tho's things. White has no reason to chat Nonsense, especially something like this where he could get in alot of trouble.

Why would he make up a quote and risk a libel battle?
Can't believe it's real, but not sure it's libel? Or at least not significant enough to pursue. Think the club will just ignore this. Which is what we should all try to do re: Mr White & co. Don't even know why I'm reading about it myself.

If it were an official club statement, I'd go for the latter. Actually, even if it was reported by Sky Sports on their actual channels or a paper, I'd believe it.

But the method of delivery is so... unorthodox, and the content of all three messages White has divulged are very "wind uppey".
