Those words are his mate.

That completely undermines any confidence in this feller. It'd be hard to think of a worse way of rattling cages at the end of a pathetic transfer window than that. Kenwright must be pissing himself watching this PR car crash. I wouldn't blame him after the huge stick he took whilst in charge.

Yes you are.

Moshiri is by a significant margin the largest individual shareholder in Everton, and holds more than "BK and his mates" combined.
It doesn't matter unless he controls the board. He doesn't have the shares to just push through his plans without the board's consent and I know this because you can be damn sure that's the way Kenwright set up the deal.

It won't be until the move to the assumed next stage of the takeover, i.e. concrete plans and investment paid in for the stadium until Moshiri has full control. Obviously Bill is either still a a bit dubious and wants there to be proof Moshiri plans to actually do this or he simply wants to hold on to his trainset a bit longer. Only Bill really knows the answer to that one.

What does this mean?

It means we probably did have more money available but probably a lot less than the 100m reported. Personally I think there may have been about another 30m-60m available but collectively the board both Moshiri and Kenwright had a nose bleed when faced with the prices this year.

I think there's a danger of flip flopping from one extreme to another. He's either a sugar daddy or an asset stripper. The reality is he's probably neither and genuinely has plans to move the club forward in the right direction. I guess we will know once we hear his plans for the stadium.

I thought we're all family . . .

The majority of people on there apologising for the behaviour of some of our fans, then I laughed at this bloke

I'm not sure what concerns me more if it's genuine, that he's in contact with a bellend like Jim White in the first place, or the statement itself.

The choice of man to relay his thoughts to the world is alarming and depressing. If you wanted to be taken seriously as a major player in the PL would you use a feller dragged out annually to wear a yellow suit and scream at maximum volume at viewers to impart your vision? Add that to the chummying up to the equally ridiculous figure of Joe Anderson and alarm bells are ringing louder than Jim White at a minute to go in the transfer window.

It just astounds me how they don't get a pragmatic fanbase time after time by aligning themselves with a pragmatic narrative.

Shouldn't be so hard to do when you're a very rich and astute businessman. Understand your clientele.

I hope you've got proof of that??

Because we were told we'd invest heavily in the summer and that turned out to be BS

I dont think there was an offical line from the club on how much they would invest and to be fair they spent the guts of 50 mill, whether you agree with the players that was spent on or not is a different matter.

I don't have proof that he hasn't, however the BM reports seem pretty much concrete and it would be counter productive really carrying debt into that situation given we are likely to have to accumulate it to make it feasible.

anyone that believes moshiri sent that statement to jim white/sky yesterday is a basketcase beyond help. those are the facts of the matter.

Well the club could deny it, like they denied the mayor's tweets which was a play on words. This Sky statement they are claiming came from the majority shareholder, so if they are quick to say Joe is wrong on his tweets why let this one slide??

It's a national journalist putting his rep on the line over those statements.

And simultaneously, not a peep from Everton to deny them.

Amazingly, it's looking more likely than unlikely that Moshiri is an absolute idiot and these statements to Jim White are genuine.

We have a complete moron as majority shareholder at the club. Again.

I'm still not sure, but the problem is though mate, it's made us a bit of a laughing stock at the moment, and considering it's all over the media, social networks etc, it's not as if the club won't be aware of it, so, how easy would it be for someone from our PR (if it's not true) to come out and give a statement.
