It would show ambition on the part of the new order. He's a marketable asset, even if his best years on the pitch are behind him. Getting a world famous, lifelong blue back on the books like that would help to boost our profile.

Everton's articles don't allow for less than 3 Directors and I think they also have to own a small number of shares.
Just read that Earl may step down from the board so it may be that RE has sold up completely and BK and JW have diluted holdings. The extent of dilution would be influenced by wether Grantchester, Abercromby and Estate of Sir Philip Carter have sold up.
