Still has to be paid back. No doubt by player sales

This will be why we've been able to spend big before selling rom.

It's not THE reason, it's one of the reasons. And that is what has changed, there are lots of channels now for investment. You don't have to think of it as player sold, money for player in. It's much more of a business from many angles now, like the bigger clubs. We are investing a lot. Selling will not be a problem and will be part of the new business model. These guys will just find ways to invest for the sheer fun of it. Everything has changed and now we are seeing it. Still need CL asap though.

Although I think he missed a trick not being at Rooney's press conference. Would have been good to have a few pictures with Wayne in the public domain that he could show his bud Usmanov the difference when you actually own a club! ;)

May be miles out here, but my guess would be that for tax residence purposes he wouldn't spend unnecessary time in the UK.

Don't mind me, just leaving these here for @davek to use later.

Speaking about Stones' £47.5million switch to Manchester City, Moshiri said: "I didn't want to sell.

"I did what I could to keep Romelu (Lukaku), which I managed to do. I looked at the club, and the three big stars were Romelu, Ross Barkley and John Stones.

"The boy (Stones) wanted to go. (Roberto) Martinez had promised him he could go the following year, but I didn't let him go until the manager (Koeman) said he could go.
