The press still managed to get the context of it all wrong despite them being their reporting his every word.

Never once stated that Lukaku believed in Voodoo and never suggested that that was even the reason he never signed the contract, however, Paul Joyce and his little cronies have suggested it to be like that, when is wasn't.

The end of statement regarding Lukaku should have been: “we offered him a better deal than Chelsea and he declined it”

..they were employees. Regardless, there are things said and done in confidence that shouldn’t be broadcast. I think it was enough to say the club did all they could to keep Lukaku but despite this the player wanted to leave. I was uneasy when I read the comments, I think they were unnecessary.
Maybe yes, many wouldnt have said anything like that but thats why I said he is a character with bollocks. Love him me.

One of the reasons I so enjoy this forum is that everyone on here clamors for, and blasts the leadership with not being more open and forthright. And of course then blasts the leadership for being open and forthright. You certainly cant believe Moshiri is hiding things from the fans after those answers :-)

accept it seems like he was just being a racist pig and is about to get his arse sued.

I like it that we have an owner that is somewhat unorthodox. I have no problem with him revealing nuggets of information about the club and the excuses and reasons players give for leaving.

I was reading on here yesterday where people were giving out because the club was so secretive and now they are giving out and feel embarrassed because they get some information. No matter whatever is said or done there are some on here who will be negative.

My belief is that some players do feel a little embarrassed leaving a club which has looked after them so well and has done everything in it's power to keep them. I do believe they sometimes come up with daft reasons for leaving when the real reason is their greedy agent sees an opportunity to make money.

He doesn't give a crap what some nonentity thinks of him and rightly so.

Regarding the stadium, we are it seems now building a stadium that is going to cost 200m more that the initial estimates. It sounds to me as if they are going after a higher spec. and hopefully the end product will reflect the extra cost.

I think we need to keep in mind this is only part of a much bigger project and there are lots of interested parties who stand to make lots of money out of the development as a whole not just the stadium alone.

..it largely depends on his reasons for saying what he did. You surely try and keep a sense of decency and diplomacy in your response even if it was designed to emphasise what he was up against in his efforts to keep the player.

So instead of voodoo, Lukaku says he is a staunch Catholic. Does it really matter? It’s all bollocks anyway.

Instead of sticking pins in dolls and throwing bones in a pot, etc, he believes in an old man floating in the sky telling people what is and is not okay to do with their lives.

I did say last night Rom and his family are devout catholics who has said in numerous interviews that he reads the bible on a daily basis.

We as a fan base are being rather two faced when saying Danny Murphy should be sacked for the benefits bad taste joke on Friday and trying to laugh this off.

It does not paint the club in a good picture.

We can moan about the kopites and how they are acting over Holgate but we are just as bad.

Jokes aside, it's all very parculiar and worrying that so many of our ex players left as they had no faith in the 'project', and an academy product from Liverpool who grew up supporting us could not be swayed to stay...

Essentially, any player with the merest spark of ambition left after speaking to Moshiri. Most of the ones coming in have come from doomed lower-table clubs like Sunderland, Palace, Swansea, Villa etc etc.

All pretty bad.
