This century there has been 20-30 English clubs who have gone into administration and not once do I remember it be reported that the owner has said something like "The clubs financial problems have caused me great hardship. I now sell my multi million pound mansion and have put my name down on the council waiting list.."

As far as I was aware the majority of “debt” is what the club owes to Moshiri in the form of the cash he’s put in as loans , so don’t think there would be banks calling unless it’s for stadium loans at a later date .

My doubt is if he isn’t backed behind the scenes by usmanov and he comes to the conclusion that football clubs are a money pit and it’s draining his resources like Lerner did then he will turn off the tap , if he does that then the clubs only going one way .

Well, Everton are the first in many things...

Come on Moshiri dont listen to Brands we need more than 3-4 in lad.

12th behind crap like Southampton & Burnley.

Come on Farhad give Carlo the spondooley's to bring in the players he needs to have us competing.

I'd think the opposite. We won't have an infinite budget, so the more its spread beyond 3 or 4 players, the more diluted the quality will be.

Not to mention the difficulty integrating so many new players at once, although granted most of what we already have never managed that as a team.

Its a very difficult balancing act - ideally we want players who can go straight into the team. I still think we should demand as much as possible from the scouting process simply beacuse we have so many positions needing an upgrade and do not have £50M to solve every problem.

In my view, there should be a mix in signing ready-made players at higher-end fees and taking cheaper but informed punts from Europe / the lower leagues, as well as maximising frees and loans to pad out the squad at low risk.
