He let them !!!!!!!

In hindsight its easy to say that though mate.

Its like David Moyes at West Ham - their owners are hated by WHU fans and were labelled clueless for appointing Moyes - now he's got them purring the owners are suddenly out of the firing line.

Villa fans love their owners yet had goal line technology not failed and they rightfully had gone down instead of Bournemouth the season before last they would have been in big problems financially with the EFL rules and likely would have sold Grealish for a fraction of the £100 million they got for him being in the PL - suddenly I doubt Villa fans would have had the same positive feelings for them.

Like many things there is always a degree of luck - if Brands signs a Tielemans instead of Gomes and Haaland instead of Kean then its suddenly a different story in terms of Moshiri "letting the DOF wizz money away carelessly".

He's obviously made mistakes but the criticisms are often OTT.

Why was Brands given a new deal?

He continues to make them by not replacing this inept Chairperson and CEO, therefore the criticisms are not OTT, they are realistic.
The longer we continue on in the same manner, the further and further and further we'll fall behind those clubs we like to think we could compete with.

Thats ultimately Kenwrights decision as chairman.

Now Moshiri is at fault for keeping that clown around the club I'll happily agree with you there.

But my point remains Mansour/Abramovich & the Leicester owners aside I dont look at any other club in the PL and get envious of their ownership.

I get envious of every club in the Premier League that is financially stable and not at the risk of breaching league rules and incurring punishments.

So that would be three of the last four clubs to last win the PL - Abramovich outs anyone who doesn't come up to HIS expectations... Mansour swept the old City BoD out with the cat litter on Day One of his taking over at City and the Leicester owners clearly have implemented plans and structure that saw them win and maintain a higher than could be reasonably expected place in the table since.
You've only omitted the RS ownership who also clearly have a plan and have won a PL title and the CL while we can't even get past the second round of the Carabao Cup !!!

The rules are bent mate - Leicester won the league and were robbed of their best talent the summer after same as Dortmund were in Germany, Lille were in the summer. They are well run but they are only ever one or two bad decisions away from falling back into midtable as are everyone outside the "top sides".

We need to improve in terms of the day to day running of the club but Moshiri in the days of no FFP could keep throwing money at it until it eventually clicked - City and Chelsea did the same but then joined the cabal of Utd/Liverpool/Arsenal in stopping anyone else doing the same.

Look at what they are trying to do with the sponsership rules as they are terrified the Saudi's will muscle in at Newcastle.

The games bent these days I've pretty much given up hope of seeing us at the top of english football - too much vested interest in keeping the big boys big and stopping anyone else from joining the party.

So would you swap Moshiri for Southamptons owners tomorrow?

They barely spend a penny and sell anyone half decent within a season but hey their accounts are boss if only they had owners who wanted to make a go of it...
Mate stop embarrassing yourself, facts are facts we goosed ourselves because he let idiots run the show instead of putting football men in charge of matters. We spend half of what we have and we wouldn’t have the level of managerial turnover we’ve had under his reign

The new contract for Brands is something that snookers anyone trying to defend this clown.

Until another Sheikh Mansour rocks up its a case of be careful what you wish for.

Moshiri isn't perfect far from it - he's made some stupid mistakes but he's at least tried.

I cant fault anyone that tries - I can fault people like Kenwright who never tried. Or someone like the Glazers who pile hundreds of millions of debt around a clubs neck.
