I think there's a more important message in there mate.....

"I am delighted to join you here today at Goodison Park for my first match as a shareholder in Everton. "I also felt it fitting that my first message was in the matchday programme, with Everton being the first ever club to regularly produce one for home games. "Indeed it is this strong sense of tradition which appealed to me as I discussed the opportunity with Bill Kenwright to become part of the future of the club. "It is a testament to the enduring quality and consistency of the club that Everton has remained in he top flight of English football since 1954.

I
n more recent times this has been achieved under the stewardship of Bill, Robert Elstone and all the team behind the scenes at the club. "I am here to support them as required to ensure that the club recaptures the glory days of the past and builds sustained success in the future. "I know a lot of you want to know what my plans are. There is much to be done and things for me to learn, but I can confirm that I have committed to providing additional funds for transfers and retaining our key players to ensure that we have a strong ore to build on for the future. We will also be looking at the best options in relation to our stadium.

Goodison Park has served the club extremely well but we need to make sure the club has a suitable stage to perform on for the future. We will review the best options and how to finance, especially as it is likely to cost a little more than the £3,000 it apparently did back in 1892.

Finally, and most impo
rtantly, Everton is about great football and wining matches. Good luck to Roberto and the boys against Chelsea today.

Will have to report that Moshiri to the moderation team for circumvention of the swear filter

Thankyou for bolding his offence.

That being said it is good that he is getting used to the colloquialisms, 'me' rather than 'my' is a good touch

As expected a generic statement that says very little...sensibly so.
I think there is probably an awful lot going on in the background already.
There must be rooms full of reports relating to the upgrade of Goodison or the building of a new stadium. Moshiri is the White Knight that Bill Kenwright wanted and I expect that Moshiri will rely heavily on the knowledge that Bill Kenwright has about the club.

I don't see another report changing anything much and I think it is likey that Moshiri has people looking over what already has been done.
I think the stadium issue may move quickly now...relatively speaking.
We know the City Council are in favour of a new ground and a site has been provided. That is the starting point.

I expect that a man like Moshiri will have extensive contacts with others of a similar wealth. I think that now we are seen to have a wealthy owner with the possibility of other wealthy people getting involved that new sites may be offered to Everton by private owners that previously would not deal with Bill Kenwright because of his lack of wealth(at that level).
Peel Holdings have often been mentioned here by some and dismissed by others, but just to use them as an example. If a new football ground would fit into their overall development plan for the land they own , if a new football ground could help kickstart a project which it appears has not taken off particularly well. They are now talking with a man that can pump a lot of money into a new ground, but maybe a man that could also see a potential in getting involved in the bigger project and bringing the wealth of other welthy people with him.

This new owner has possibly opened doors that were previously closed to us, but this will take time... and will not fit into the timescale of fans on a ootball charroom.
A lifeboat of reason in an ocean of bullsh!t. Thank you.

Strangely enough, I've literally just filed my annual return, so we'll see. Longest anything should take is 72 hours if filed online and accepted - 48 hours max to either accept or reject it and at worst an overnight update for accounts/annual returns.
We'll see when mine appears but the server might be on meltdown with all us Evertonians looking to see if FM has been appointed.

Like I said, it depends on the type of changes. I know from experience that things like changes in officers, although immediately implemented, can be a few weeks in being updated on the Companies House website. Same with things like changes in names for companies.

Not my experience to be honest. The only time anything has taken longer than overnight is my annual return I put in this afternoon - not accepted yet, so don't expect anything until Monday.
If you do something where paper filing is the only option, God help you.

interesting observation from Mo there...

I think I like this fella. I like him quite a lot.

Funds, stadium, and winning actual football matches. What a great combination. And a little hint at a positive ruthlessness too.

As for the negative stuff.... as if this fella isn't going to be calling the shots. He's not going to make radical overhauls mid season. But he's going to make changes. And he's going to be in charge.

He's made his cash keeping the books for an oligarch who was up to his elbows in corruption and much much more.

I wouldn't genuflect too much.
