Kev The Rat
Player Valuation: £70m
He has washed his hands of the club now to the extent that he's not even motivated to fire a failing manager, and bring a new one in. Once upon a time he was ruthless enough to ensure our Premier League status by getting rid of managers, now it doesnt seem like he's bothered enough to even care about that.I think Moshiri has learned the hard way that premiership football is rigged in favour of reinforcing the status of the so called elite 'sky clubs.' It's a good thing to see Arsenal and Newcastle bucking this trend for now at least.
Moshiri thought he could simply throw money at us until we became successful again. What he did not navigate through was the agent deception of providing faux world class players to us at ridiculous prices. He was deceived time and time again and this perpetuated a slow decline in our fortunes. Massive contracts with no resale value occurred season after season. Most of these players were frauds. Moshiri fell for it. He then got strangulated by the corrupt FFP rules which prevent most clubs from progressing. I think when he realised the authorities were checking on his every purchase he became disillusioned and started to lose interest. You simply don't see him anymore. I think his main concern now is selling Everton at a profit. He knows this is only possible if we stay in the top flight and have the new stadium up and running.
The other matter is we really don't know how his relationship with Usmanov influences our clubs running. For all we know the sanctions on Usmanov may have affected Moshiris ability to spend money!
