Didn't Ian Holloway once resign from Palace as he didn't think he was the man to manage them in the premier league? When was the last time a manager resigned because he was rubbish ?
It would seem to be a requirement these daysBeing stupid is no barrier to becoming a member of parliament in this country, or, on the other side of the world, becoming president of the United States.
John Sheridan at Oldham in 17 September 2022. Everton's old assistant manager David Unsworth took over and turned out to be even more rubbish. When was the last time a manager resigned because he was rubbish ?
I’d actually have him here tomorrow. Compared to the incumbent.Didn't Ian Holloway once resign from Palace as he didn't think he was the man to manage them in the premier league?
Ok. Fair point. But he's an extremely wealthy man that could retire from football managment now and live a first class life with no income. He's managing a club with working class values currently on its knees. Its not all his fault, granted, but he was brought in to improve on what went before. He is doing worse than his predecessors and resigning now would mean he leaves with his head held high given the circumstances. And the respect of most Evertonians for not taking even more out of a struggling club.....The manager signed a contract and is entitled to stay as long as he likes. That’s how any football club in the world works. Don’t peddle this narrative that Lampard should choose to resign, puts all the blame on him and not the shambolic board that gave him the contract to begin with.
Because he agreed to the review process. Why does he? He owns the gaff.
Not sure they resign whilst on a run of 1 win in 15 thoughPlenty of managers resign due to turmoil at the top of the club.
If someone had put a tv camera in his face just before sacking Koeman, Silva, Allardyce or Benitez do you think he'd have said anything differently?Glad he's decided that NOW it isn't his responsibility to sack managers
Yes of course he would have. He's an ego maniac and would've loved the praise for sacking themIf someone had put a tv camera in hius face just before sackign Koeman, Silva, Allardyce or Benitez do you think he'd have said anything differently?
There's no evidence apart from Moshiri saying it's not his decision (it isn't officially) and Kenwright telling a Sky reporter that he wouldn't confirm to him that Lampard is getting sacked...unless I've missed something else that's been said?theres too much evidence pointing in the opposite direction im afraid Dave
Lampard is staying
