And it seemed common knowledge moshiri wanted Pereira but was out voted there was even rumours last season moshiri was going to sack lampard

This is where there's a massive dysfunction. Pereira was already interviewed in the late 2000's by Kenwright. So he knew about him. Lampard did 2 interviews. Rooney was asked to interview and he turned it down as he wanted to be given the job outright.

Then you've got Dunc who's been working there for decades...why interview him?

Who's doing it all

It was a throwaway line to a reporter who ambushed him.

He's in the country to get a new manager sorted.

For him to come here when he's been implicated with Usmanov is a risk in itself...because the last thing he wants is further attention on himself.
I think you credit him and the rest with far more intelligence and nous than they have mate.

I dont want him here. But we have to rely on him doing what he's done in the past and sack a manager.
If they do they they’ll have to set a precedent under this regime and actually employ a better manager (Carlo aside) …..I’m not convinced but we do have to get rid - it’s an awful position to be in to know a manager has to go but have zero confidence in the board to get a competent replacement in

There's now no alternative to a change of manager.

I dont see risk to it though. For sure we'd be down by Easter sticking with Lampard.

It needs to be done tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. I only hope that the Board have been spending their time preparing a replacement in the knowledge that this very scenario may/would arise.
It'd be nice to think this will be done and dusted by Thursday / Friday (Lampard out and new manager in).

I think for sure Lampard goes soon.

I'll be really disappointed if we haven't been sounding out managers for the last few weeks and now have a replacement in mind waiting in the wings. But that would be the sensible thing to do, and this is Everton... so who knows :(
