From the Kenwright article in the mail:

'Why a man whose company owns almost whole the football club has not installed his own people - such as his own chief executive - to run it appears to make little sense. It continues to confuse even those who know Moshiri.'

There lies the reason for his disastrous tenure. And it's all his/Usmanov's own fault for not appointing their own professional and qualified people. Utter fools.
This is the big problem. The Usmanov/Moshiri input into the board has included things like Usmanov's nephew, who I continue to be surprised at people hardly ever mentioning. A 25 year old with no particular experience being put on the board because his uncle is the right oligarch, then lasting about four months before resigning due to a GBH charge... for something that happened a month before he was given a seat on the board.

We have hired Dyche because a) We refuse to look outside of the PL experience group of managers. Also b) The majority of existing managers within that group won't touch us with a barge pole because of our league position and also the chaotic infrastructure within the club and how we insist on doing things. It is scaring managers off, they don't want to work here.
Exactly this.
This appointment and the one before it are indicative of how far our stock has fallen and our reputation has been damaged.
Our prospective list of candidates has shrunk at each appointment.
We have arrived at the bottom of the barrel, 2candidates!!!
Joke

By Alan Myers:

It is true, Moshiri wanted and was intrigued by the thought of Bielsa getting hold of the club and changing its direction completely, but he was also mindful of the need to secure Premier League safety now.

Bielsa, the former Leeds manager, in a long, late night meeting on Thursday requested a period where he could view the whole club and assess its needs.

He wanted time to implement his unique adaptation on the football club from top to bottom and come the end of the season, take charge as manager.

That would have meant bringing in an interim manager. It was unlikely Dyche would ever agree to be that man. That would have left the need for a firefighter, and Everton have been down that road before.

Moshiri, taking his board's advice into account, agreed and decided on the Burnley man being the way forward.

His deliberation and subsequent decision proves that those who accuse him of wrongdoing, those who say he makes all the decisions and overrides people at the club, are not accurate.

It indicates we cannot believe the whispers and rumours emanating from those that spin that particular line.

His acceptance that Dyche is the sensible choice at this juncture is proof that he does listen and is willing to put his own wishes behind that of the club he owns 94 per cent of.

Dyche was "impressive" an insider tells me, adding "he was energetic and up for the fight ahead" - both men impressed in different ways.

I can't believe this man, honestly.

So in summary he was overruled by the board then. No amount of spinning by Myers can hide that.

Reading have all kinds of problems, they have been under a transfer embargo since July 2021 for breaching profit and sustainability rules, they must have a really bad owner, another Farhad Moshiri type
You know when Readings decline started, don't you?

It was when Christopher Samuelson got involved. The 'Lifelong Evertonian' Kenwright wheeled out at the EGM to make his case against the Gregg's.

Moshiri clearly has his flaws (major ones) but who introduced him to Everton? And what was the NUMBER ONE criteria for 'investment' coming in?

Oh. That's right.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Yes, on the verge of relegating Everton is one of them

but who introduced him to Everton? And what was the NUMBER ONE criteria for 'investment' coming in?
Number one, maybe the ground, maybe funds for players, both of which have been received, so in that respect it was good recruitment from Bill, im sure Farhad when asked didnt tell anyone he was going to interfere in everything and turn into a nutter
Oh. That's right.

Clap! Clap! Clap!
