Anybody who feels they know exactly what is happening within the club is , I think , fooling themselves. Trying to determine motives from what is being said makes no sense.

Lukaku, will probably be offered a big new contract by Everton and both Lukaku and his agent are upping the ante, they cannot lose. They will get a big pay increase or a huge multi million pound move. I don't believe there is a problem between manager and player. The team is largely built around Lukaku and RM more than anybody has turned him into the player he now is. Of course, manager and player meet every day. If Lukaku believes the manager will not improve him or the team any further then he may leave, but if he thinks he and the team both are progressing and getting better he may probably stay.
I think Lukaku will only go if a huge bid is made.. I think 80m or thereabouts

John Stones is interesting. We know he wanted to leave, we know he is still on the same low contract and there has been no talk of anything new being signed.
We know this season has been poor for him , certainly since Christmas.
But , again, we do not know what is happening every day at the training ground. We do not know the relationship between manager and player.

I think the stadium issue is being looked at, but again we dot know the current position of the City Council or indeed what plan Moshiri has in mind for the future.

I find it hard to believe that such a successful and wealthy man would spend so much of his money and have no idea what he plans to do about a new stadium...the single biggest and most expensive issue facing the club by some considerable distance.
I find it hard to believe that he would buy the club without knowing if the new stadium or Goodison redevelopment would cost or even where it might be.

We should just chill and enjoy the ride.

As the team has stagnated in mid-table for two consecutive seasons (despite 25 goals from Lukaku), it's difficult to see how Lukaku can conclude that the team is progressing.

The only thing which can convince Rom is whether the Moshiri money/influence will bring us more glory soon.

i must have missed the glory part starting for there to be a "more glory" option.

In my view we are in a position where new contracts will be offered and if there is no sign of them being signed those players will be sold rather than let them run down their contracts and us get nothing for them. This isn't showing a lack of ambition it's being realistic even with the amount of money now available in the Prem you can't throw away somewhere between £50m and £150m. The main difference to our previous selling of stars will be all sales proceeds will be channelled into the team and not to support debt. Let's hope moshiri can be very persuasive.

I think Everton should get themselves a tv channel broadcasting on both overseas and British TV.. With Everton TV, the club already has experience and knowhow, archives and systems in place.

While not cost-effective perhaps in the short-term, it would show we mean business and obviously in future years, lead to attracting a bigger fanbase.

More successful clubs have not done this and we could steal a march on them.

The biggest strength is the passion of the Everton fans to contribute to such a thing. We have done work in Asia we have done work in Africa we have a great support all around the world and it would be fantastic in my opinion and I hope Farhad Moshiri looks into it.

Because TV rights are bargained by the league not individual clubs? Unless you mean a channel to just show highlights, interviews, etc

Yes that was what I meant. The fans could contribute a lot, this much is clear. In the UK, I think only Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool have such channels. We should join them and our channel would be better. If we are going to be a CL club we should be thinking about growing our fanbase for future generations.

Quite possibly one of the most sensible posts in this entire thread.
If we sell any of our top 'stars', it will only be as a result of 'unreasonable' demands on the players behalf.
I believe that we ARE ambitious as a club, but the word 'ambition' is very often misused when applied to individual players.
"I want a move to Barcelona because I'm guaranteed to win things there" is NOT a sign of ambition. That is nothing more than glory hunting.
"I want to transform THIS team, i.e. me and my team mates, into a team of trophy winners" THAT is ambition.
I believe Barkley has THAT kind of ambition. I also believe that Lukaku has that kind of ambition. (His agent of course is another story)
I want ambitious players at this club, of course I do, but I want players that have the ambition to transform us into a team of winners, not individuals who are looking for the 'easy' option of signing for an already successful club.
Really p*sses me off when I hear 'pundits' saying that "if 'player X' is ambitious, then he should be looking to move to a champion league club" There is a huge difference between ambition, and personal ambition.

OK I'm a bit pished. End of rant, time for bed.

Much better to have it publicly available for free to increase the exposure so that when someone potentially expresses an interest in us they can learn their history and get up to speed. No point trying to capitalize before we gain an appropriate amount of market penetration, focus on growing the fanbase in those markets first and creating demand before
trying to cash in.

Have I misread what you're talking about here and you actually are talking about fan-content and not charging for TV subscription?
