Kenwright was ready to appoint Gary Megson in 2002 until Walter Smith recommended Moyes, most club chairman/owners would have gave Moyes the boot in 2004 after that shambolic campaign and even then most seasons we were poor first few months until Moyes got it together
Moshiri doesn’t have the luck the Luvvie had because he’s been insistent on appointing mercenaries (Koeman, Allardyce, Benitez), rookies (Silva, Lampard) or showing a lack of options (Dyche)
And yes Moyes with Moshiri’s (borrowed) funds? We are in no where near the financial pitfall that we are currently in as he’d have spent it far far better than messrs Brands, Walsh and Thelwell. Hell, and some may not like it, Martinez would have spent the money wasted better as well
