Fans of ours have VERY short memories.

Before Moshiri rocked up we were in freefall under BK/Martinez - the owner couldn't even afford to sack brown shoes. We were still sell to buy and had it not been for Moyes working miracles we'll have been relegated time and time again until we were a League One outfit.

Any dreams of a new ground were touted cheap shamble deals with Tesco and ground shares with the RS.

Sir Farhad at least let us dream for a short period - no one called him names when we spent £100m+ budgets on players like Richarlison, Digne, Rodriguez and appointed Carlo Ancelotti as manager. Didnt heckle him when BMD became a reality not just fancy plans on paper.

I find the abuse of the man by some suspects disgraceful tbh. People can say he's failed but also acknowledge the positives & investment he's made into the club.

We are still sell to buy now mate, but on an almighty bigger scale.

The reason we are is because the owner is still allowing Kenwright to be in the position he is in.
We know Kenwright isnt walking he needs to be pushed and only one man can do it, Moshiri!

So our current predicament is on him and Kenwright.

How are you still this deluded about him? We’re deep in the crap hole because he’s focused on the stadium, doesn’t even bother showing up to the club unless it’s to sack a manager, left the single worst chairman in club history still in charge while appointing himself to the board oh and let’s not forget the club have, for the past two seasons, been in relegation battles for the first time in nearly 2 decades, the most recent going to the final game for the first time in 25 years

All that is irrelevant to my post.

The fans claiming he's ruined the club have short memories because even if its not worked out a success on the field Moshiri has offered more positives than what we had the previous two decades prior to his arrival.

Ya'll talk as if it were trophies, healthy balance sheets & CL football prior to Moshiri which is bull crap sir. Moyes aside the club was in a hole - no money, no investment, no new ground, no funds for players, no hope.

This would be the ace negotiator who gave El Bob a lengthy contract extension after just one season, without including any termination clauses.

Plenty called him names almost from Day One when he failed to oust Bungalow Bill who he had to bail out by paying off El Bob.

Appointed CA having agreed to a get out clause should Real Madrid enquire... yeah, that was a smart move given the record CA has in winning trophies in Europe with bigger clubs than Everton.

That would be the BMD that he's had to bring MSP in to prop up the financing of... as he's run out of money after spectacularly failing to attract any other financing options in all the time from planning permission being granted until MSP popped up.

Stop making out like he's God's gift to football mate... yes, he's ploughed a third world debt into Everton since his arrival back in 2016... and as a football club, we've gone backwards !!!

We were not fighting relegation two seasons on the run .....

You’re not American, knock it in the head

2nd point despite all that we had a team that could play well and qualify for Europe nearly every season, the closest we’ve got in nearly a decade was under Ancelotti with no fans present and we still f’d that up

Which was down to the manager I assume you'll agree with ?

So if Moshiri hypothetically had Moyes as manager during his tenure like Kenwright had and we were doing well right now - would you still dislike Moshiri ?

If the answer is no then your opinion of the two era's (pre and post FM) is ultimately down to one owner got lucky with Davey Moyes and one never got lucky with a similiar type of fluke appointment.

Moshiri has made mistakes thats clear.. but he's also been unlucky whereas BK got VERY lucky with Moyes otherwise we'll have done a Sunderland during the 00's years.

Kenwright was ready to appoint Gary Megson in 2002 until Walter Smith recommended Moyes, most club chairman/owners would have gave Moyes the boot in 2004 after that shambolic campaign and even then most seasons we were poor first few months until Moyes got it together

Moshiri doesn’t have the luck the Luvvie had because he’s been insistent on appointing mercenaries (Koeman, Allardyce, Benitez), rookies (Silva, Lampard) or showing a lack of options (Dyche)

And yes Moyes with Moshiri’s (borrowed) funds? We are in no where near the financial pitfall that we are currently in as he’d have spent it far far better than messrs Brands, Walsh and Thelwell. Hell, and some may not like it, Martinez would have spent the money wasted better as well

Moshiri would’ve sacked Moyes for finishing 11th in 2006 and brought in someone like Martin Jol on massive money.

He’s invested in utter pish which is worse than investing nothing.
