Sake lad, borderline xenophobia, read your post again and then once more and please tell me you see the contradiction in your statement, christ on a bike!

I know you won't see it, rather like the infamous self tagging you do!

Zen isn't working for you, I swear.

There is no xenophobia from me - its factual that US ownership has ruined the sport.

The ESL was largely planned by US owners

The PL is predominantly US owned and is becoming one of the most uncompetitive/corrupt leagues in europe.

US owners prior to rule changes often resorted to leveraged buyouts.

Most clubs fanbases are at war with their US owners or have been in recent seasons over the financing/management of the club.

Anyone not drinking the kool aid can acknowledge the reality that is Middle Eastern money is the only ticket in town to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

I just pray the owner has more sense than some of the fans who remind me of Kenwright/the club in the 90's - watching Utd/Arsenal/RS (City/PSG/Newcastle) lay solid foundations for the future whilst we delude ourselves in that good times are just around the corner we just need some luck.

You do seem to fit the criteria with your anti American rhetoric tho

"dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries."

I can only call what I see my friend.

Man City / PSG / Newcastle fans seem very pleased with their ownerships contributions so far not just in terms of the running of the club but also the investment in the playing squad, the academy, the infrastructure etc.

Look at the state of Old Trafford under the Glazers and the eyesore of Liverpools new stands compared to the plans for around the Etihad (even BMD).

"Most" US club owners are leeches mate - it pains me to say it but thats my conclusion drawn from all the evidence I have available.

Ah sorry, you have only won an American hedge fund this time, but lets see what you could have won.

Watch Newcastle flounder this year, already felt the pinch of FFP

I know its often difficult to comprehend anything that isn't S P E L T. O U T. A S. S U C H - so allow me to elaborate my friend.

As @catcherintherye as often eluded to - there is a borderline xenophobic attitude towards middle eastern money / ownership in football in which the latest is some PL clubs trying to get middle eastern entities from being able to buy into the league.

I was simply stating that if hypothetically every club in the PL were owned by middle eastern money - the league would be a much more competitive and equal competition and God forbid an Everton or Crystal Palace could actually challenge for the title.

As it stands, US ownership accounts for around half of the PL iirc and the gulf in finances/competition is the largest its ever been.

The future of this (any many other sports) lay in the middle east. I pity the fool who doesn't acknowledge that in 10+ years from now most global sporting events will be held either in the middle east or have middle eastern money backing it.

US ownership has been a failure in this country - Moshiri needs to be whoring us out like a cheap brass to every Shiekh and Sultan in his phone directory otherwise we'll continue to stagnate and not be at the forefront of the new era of football just like we stagnated during the birth of the PL.
You could make an argument to say we already have middle Eastern ownership, after all, isn't Moshiri Iranian?

And the Saudis are doing out of great love for the sport of Soccer, right you are!!!

America has contributed a bit to world culture in a good way. But their business culture, their avarice, greed, their sociopathic drive to sue the beans out of peoples arse and use and control anybody they can, while pedalling low quality goods priced high through marketing, will always have them bottom of my list of reputable countries. Not the people, just their accepted business practices.

So I would be delighted if they want nowhere near Everton. I'd rather we fold. Seriously.
