Commencing negotiations for a top quality stadium within a few months of Moshiri coming on board?

Proving a transfer kitty which blows anything in our history out of the water?

Showing a willingness to pay big to get the right manager and taking the view that (to use just one example) the manager of a club with the stature of Man City is not good enough for us?

Surely all of this demonstrates how much has changed, and we're only just getting started.
Thing is, every other club is spending big,, so we are just competing not moving ahead of the competition. 30mill does look like the new 10mill

Not really mate, as mentioned in a fair few threads already, Stones leaving opens up an absolutely massive potential for us to leap about 10 rungs up the ladder in this league, being able to move the wages for the squad onto a level with or even higher than spurs will be massive for us, additionally will mean we can offer wages maybe above the likes of spurs, the rs, arsenal etc for special players.

Think about last summer - we lost out on Payet - in large part due to west ham being able to pay him more

Lets see if the signings make up for losing stones...

Agreed, but that doesn't mean that things haven't massively changed and I, for one, consider it great news that we're able to compete and not be an underdog team surviving on a shoestring budget.

We're not the next City, but the early signs are very encouraging that we will have a long term competitive future.

How long was rooney with us before he was sold...or sanches to bayern...martial to united etc etc

You know koeman as a manager so you know he will sign players to win games...which sounds great BUT we will see loads of experienced players come in at 27+ and i can see players like dowell not getting a game.

Hes a short term manager and ive hated him since he tried to kill craig short...then again when he tanked at valencia.

I dont get the excitement over mata or schneiderlin myself....we can do better.

Hope im wrong and i will be positive if at least he signs a top keeper.

You mean you will be positive if he signs a keeper on your list and only sign the FM wonderkids you have earmarked.

Martinez tried your way, he signed youthful players and you know what, it didnt work, they all tanked, they were all very inconsistent, they all struggled with fitness, thats partly down to the training, but mostly due to the their ages, young players struggle for fitness, they are very inconsistent.

We currently have a very strong base of youthful players, we need to sign some players in their peak, if you cant see that, then I cant help you.

Stones leaving is down to underinvestment for several years and poor management and league finishes for the last 2 years.

We may not be able to sign a defender as talented as Stones as they do not come around very often, but what we are doing is putting into place the financial, managerial and structural foundations to ensure that future John Stones do not want to leave Everton Fc.

The repaired balance sheet and confirmation of a majority holding in the next couple of months plus the transfer activities, some of which is only now becoming apparent despite being flagged for some time should be sufficient to silence the harshest of critics or doubters.

That, combined with at least one new board member possibly two, plus anticipated news (can't yet determine the exact time frame) on the stadium will demonstrate the complete reversal in the club's fortunes since the end of February.

In what way mate ??? Being out of debt or being more stable ?

Alright Zat, I advice you to sign up at a Feyenoord messageboard and ask them about Koeman's youth policy. I think.you'd be surprised by the answers you get. Maybe there just wasn't that much quality coming through the Soton academy during his time there. I'm much more at rest with Koeman looking after our academy products than I would've been with Mourinho.
