I like the way he is quietly going about what needs to be done. I think there is so much that needed fixing behind the scenes that if he made public what he was up to he would be in front if the camera every 5 minutes having to explain himself.

I'm more than happy to show some patience and see where we are by the end of the year with the stadium, commercial activities and signings made.

After years of putting up with lies, bull and the powers that be basically saying we should be grateful for finishing in the top 10 I'm happy to see we have a straight talking manager and an owner who will hopefully show actions speak louder than words.

Why the urge to compare us to Man City or Chelsea or the way they reached their target? If, at all, we're going to copy any of the top clubs I feel it will be Arsenal. Improve our on and off field performances, build a new state of the art stadium and build for a long lasting bright future. Hopefully and confident the only difference compared to Kroenke will be that Moshiri won't settle for just being in the top 4/CL, but will aim for the ultimate prize. No doubt it will be a bumpy ride, but one I'm very much looking forward to.

The voice of reason. I agree with @chicoazul for once, while its great that this stuff is happening- nothing has happened on the pitch as yet.

Someone who is not posting on their phone will be able to embed the video of the Liverpool fanzone guy going mad over signing Ballotelli- then he was crap. That's what he's getting at I think, the fact they generally act a bit more OTT than us.

Gloat when we have something to gloat about.

This is an interesting point. According to Forbes Moshiri is worth £1.3 billion but, it's presumed, is going to fund a brand new stadium and make available a positive net transfer spend of £100 million in what is only the first transfer window since his arrival.
I'm not doubting his intentions. Koeman and the named transfer targets prove the ambition and I'm optimistic and excited but also curious why no one seems to be able to state how he's going to fund this. Is he going to load the club with debt or is there a wealthier backer coming onboard? Whatever the answer I'm going to enjoy the ride.

I think it's actually something like 1.9 billion. That's £600m more than £1.3b but I agree with the point you are making that he isn't going to pay for it all himself, especially the stadium.

The key difference though is that he has the ability to get the funds (partly through loans) to achieve the build that the previous regime did not. Bear in mind we will sell the goodison site and I would imagine the naming rights. Not to mention if it's the Peel waterfront site, they may still be involved and have some commercial property on there as part of the stadium development.

As for Chico's point, I totally agree. My concern is that all of the negativity of last year will come flooding back with some people straight away if there isn't instantly a flurry of early season wins.

Cash is not a solution alone. We as a fanbase need to have patience and faith in FM and RK to get it right. The funding will be there for that to be achieved but it is not a fait accomplished.

The big positive for me and I think a reflection of the change of ownership is that we actually believe that players like mata and witsel could come here and we have the money to do it. That's where my excitement comes from.

We will see better quality players in royal blue next season. That's reason to be optimistic. It's not reason for us to assume we will suddenly and automatically be competing at the top of the league next season.

It's $1.9 billion translated to £1.3 billion. Therefore @Bullet is correct.

LOL @ the little rat trying to get attention by commentating on my every post.

Get back to irrelevance you two celled Texan.
Your angry mate

When you remove yourself from @The Esk's anus the mods may find this is your fourth account, two of the three previous have been banned, and you vote Tory as a Welsh Evertonian.

With that as context I'm quite happy with urging a little pragmatism until we start winning trophies, nice one.
Let's just knock off the insults because they're really getting on my wick, eh?

For a thread about Farhad Moshiri, it's looking silly - stop it please.

No one wants to read this.

Me too, in my defence it was they who came at me. But I could have swerved it like.
What I usually suggest to newbies at least, is to report any insults and use the ignore function, and we will deal with things.

Perhaps this would also be useful for the established regulars too - but the essence is, let's not have any in-thread barneys. Take it to PM.

Ah my mistake, I just recalled the 1.9b figure doing the rounds on here a while back. Hadn't appreciated it was dollars.

The point I was making though was that moshiri is not going to be paying for the stadium out of his own pocket. The financing around it will be much more complex but now his wealth gives us access to this sort of investment which was previously only a pipe dream

It wasn't that at all. It was me, in my head anyway, trying to urge reason and not touching on supposed ITK. However there's a doe eyed following on here who want their daily good news journal and took it personally for some weird reason.

It's not as if I drew a cartoon depicting the Prophet Esk. I was just saying relax until we win stuff as it was awfully kopite/Geordie and I'd hate for us to turn into lizards like them.

Have to say this is very much where i am at with things, very hopeful but not blindly so, we've seen so many carpet baggers at different clubs, owners who have invested and things have gone mamary glands up. Prudence is the watch word, absolutley nothing tangible has happened yet, though the workings behind the scenes according to the Esk are hopeful.

This regime needs time and far to early to say whether its positive or negative, needs to be judged over a lifecycle and we need to be humble in our development if any has been made, if its positive and we become a player, lets no go on like Kids who have found 20 pound on the street, we are only just closer to natural historic position and should act accordingly, those who have lived through Johnson though will be cautious, we've seen it before.

But realistic hope allowed.

Well I see both sides of the coin. On the one hand @The Esk might only be trying to reassure a fanbase, who've been through close to 2 decades of mediocrity, that good times are ahead of us. This by sharing whatever positive news he can without revealing too much as I'm sure his hands are tied somewhat in that aspect. I personally appreciate whatever he shares coz it gives me the hope that my great club can once again get back to where it belongs.

But I guess @chicoazul is just trying to temper expectations. Just making sure the few of us (coz i really dun see that many) dun jump the gun and think that we're suddenly gonna steamroll the league next season!!
