That was the majority of blues yet you still think it was wrong not to get rid of his turgid football with better players. Must be lonely for you to be in the Allardyce camp.
And we wonder how we find ourselves in the situation we are in today .... we have the club we deserve

Not seen the football improved under the last 5 managers since and isn't Dyche similar style?
Even though he's known for his defensive approach, Dysche is more akin to Moyes (not as good or versatile as moyes) in style than Allardyce. Not fond of Dysche but even with our dreadful attacking options we're at least making attempts at goal and pressing up the pitch, sam is incredibly conservative 11 players in camped out in front of goal like Tony pulis did from stoke, typically his strategy is to sit back and boot the ball with the occasional counter or cross , the offensive stats were somehow bleaker than this season a lot more dour than Dysche. We actually created chances since he's been here just lacking a clinical goal scorer.skysports-sam-allardyce-everton_4291105.webp

Haha Allardyce was a firefighter not someone you build teams around, his style was agonizing to watch I used to nod off when the games were on, it was like sitting in a doctor's waiting room levels of boring we had like two shots on target if our attack was lively for the occasional game. Those tactics wouldn't have the same effectiveness now, majority of teams in EPL are pretty dynamic you might be able to do it a couple games a season but every game the team would crumble, lampard was becoming so desperate he was actually replicating Sam's style except for passing out from the back.

This alone was enough to turn the Everton fans very quickly...........and rightly so because if he stayed on our crowds would have lost 5-10 thousand per home match

except the football and the players became even worse 🤣
If we had kept alardyce we would have been finishing 8th and winning and losing by the odd goal. Games would have been terrible to watch and we would have been calling for his head.
While potentially we would be been better off it would have been no fun support us

Back on the day when he had a million loan players at bolton, was he this negative?
Oh far more negative. It wasn’t like watching football sometimes, it was genuinely like a different sport. Not that they couldn’t play, they could at times, but he was happy for them to virtually kick for touch to gain distance for 90 minutes

I remember when he was in charge. It was kinda like Everton didn't exist.
sammy lee on the touch line and Everton playing the most boring football I've ever seen... anywhere.
I stopped watching, for the first time in my life. Safe in the knowledge that we'd be alright but I wouldn't miss anything.
Terrible time.

It was horrific, I remember checking the league and being amazed we had only played 31 games, it felt like that season was about 14 years

You could’ve slept through the whole game and not missed a single thing.
