I used to be fascinated by tenements. When I was a lad we had some family in Cartwright House in Vauxhall and I used to be petrified but very curious when going there. The kids all looked murderous but they had a good community going I think...you'd know best.

On another note, if you haven't been inside the Mersey Docks and Harbor building, make sure you do. Anyone can go in during the week and have a look around.
I remember going in as a child as my Granddad had his office in there.

Brittania. They've ruined a number of lovely hotels all over the UKI wish they'd jib the Adelphi owners off and do something with that fine building. They'd have to completely gut it out but what a waste of a stunning building as it is. That has the potential to be one of the finest hotels around. Mind you, it's hardly on 5th Avenue.
