You're probably right regarding Strootman and I wouldn't even say that Fer is the lesser player out of the two. Also agree that Fer and Gibson would probably compliment eachother perfectly.

Strootman is like Gibson and Fer mixed up I reckon, I've only seen him play about 5 times though.

I agree with HK toffee in that I think we should go for the highest possible calibre we can. Obviously I'm not talking Edison Cavanni but I'd love us to shock a few people with some top class transfers in.

Fixed that for you.

Regardless of Felli staying or going, we need replacements for Neville and Hitz. If Felli goes then we need a replacement TALL person, because his work at ACM will be taken on by Osman, Barkley and, if we get someone in who can play on the right, Mirallas.

Is there a reason why Diame and De Guzman aren't listed as options on the poll? Both already have prem experience, both likely to be available for between £4m and £6m. Didn't Diame play for RM at Wigan?

Ok, we bid 13m for Negredo in January, so that's there, plus Fellaini's clause is around 23m, that takes you to 36m. Negredo would cost about 18m, Honda about 4 and Fer about 8, taking you to 30.

Absolutely. That's what I want too but knowing our club is Everton and the owner is Kenwright. What can we expect in reality? Disappointment. We will probably get McCarthy and Huddlestone in the end.

Sorry about this but I actually want Felli to stay - I am sick of the media selling our players for us and until we shake off this "plucky old Everton " tag we will never get anywhere - I for one will consider lower than 5th a failure..can't believe that some of us will accept a mid table position or 8th 7th 6th as acceptable Nil Satis Nisi Optimum ??? no wonder the club took it off the crest - Joke !!

Don't get me wrong. I rather (beg him to stay) Fellaini stays but he uses every opportunity in the media to say he wants this he wants that. Is he committed to Everton?

It's sad because this time last year people were confident and expecting a fight for 4th. Our transformation into Wigan Athletic seems to have changed that, and now people are happy with 10th place.

I don't know why some people accept anything lower than 6th/7th. Martinez inherited a top 6 side.

Im afraid his heart isnt innit anymore, if he stays im afraid he wouldnt be playing with all lights on. so it is best for everybody that he goes now when money is good. martinez gets some dough

Unfortunately I think you are talking sense here. If he goes just leaves asap.

Not convinced the £13m we bid for Negredo was a wedge of cash we had available then, let alone now. And remember, it wasn't in addition to the £8.6m we agreed for Fer; the Negredo bid only came up AFTER the Fer deal collapsed. What I mean is, we didn't have £8.6m in one hand for Fer, and another £13m in the other hand for Negredo.

Given the comments attributed to the Sevilla president when they turned down WHU's £14.5m bid three weeks ago, I don't see Negredo moving for less than £20m; I don't think we'll get Fer for LESS than we agreed before, and a LOT of teams will be in for Honda so £4m is a bit hopeful IMHO.

The deal for Fer wasn't £8.6m lump sum up front, so figure we MAYBE have £5m cash. If the Fellaini clause is £23m then we have £28m to spend.... If we got Negredo AND Fer for that, I'd be surprised. And I'd also want to know how we are going to fund replacements for Neville, Hitz, Hibbert and Mucha, and how we will fund the purchase of a new right midfielder. And please don't say "tv money".
