Benitez would have agreed to anything to take the job which is why he's got the job. Dunc holding the subs board up again next season was one of the conditions.
Mad that you believe that. I presume you think that Carlo, Sam etc all agreed to the same in order to take the job?!?!

Utter tripe

I think Baines becomes assistant manager.

Benitez Everton manager
Baines Everton assistant manager

Ancelotti's got a lot to answer for.

Nuno was pretty much offered the job and then next thing it's briefed that Ferguson must be kept on as first team coach and then Benitez emerges as the front runner.

Carlo was here for the money. If agreeing to Dunc meant his son could be a coach as well earning millions then all the better.

Allardyce got to appoint Sammy Lee as his sidekick so a kept a blue on for good graces.

Spot on this. A major reason we got Benitez was because Nuno wanted his own crew in and that meant the clique were out.

If DF steps away from this job he held under the last few managers he'd do so by accepting a move backwards and not decide to leave the club.

I expect that would be a good move on his part. Stay in the club, be seen as a man of honour who stepped away from Benitez and then throws his hat into the ring for the assistant's job again when Benitez leaves.

That would be his best policy.

Complete supposition
None of that is true. Five premier league managers in a row would not be forced into keeping him on, total and utter crap
