Fernandes Non! So who?

Oh my good god- reading through this some of the comments were pretty laughable! The two signings were going to be a conspiracy? It was all so the vote on Kirkby would be yes??!! HAHAHA!!!

The fact he trained with the club all week- was a guest at the game on Saturday, a fee had been agreed and moyes himself commented on the OS that he was going to sign.

Fernandes is going to be a top player, I have no doubt about that. But at the end of the day he is a complete wankface, he led us up the garden path and decided at the last minute to sign for someone else. He has put our season in jeopardy as we now only have 3 days to sign a replacment.

The club sorted out the issues with the FA and even sorted the transfer for 100% of the player- it was Fernandes that decided he wanted to join a 'bigger club'. Remember when we almost signed Sissoko- until he decided he wanted to join a 'bigger club'?! Players are mercenarys, I have absolutely no doubt in mind where the blame lies for this- a 21 year old prick called Manuel Fernandes- if any of you dont believe that they you are extremley naiive.

Now this shipped has sailed we need to look at someone else who will adjust to the premiership. So that means either signing someone from the prem or someone who has the qualities to succeed in this league. Whoever mentioned Essien is absolutely delluded- this is a player in the £30m+ bracket- way out of our league. Gamst is going to take a £20m+ bid to take him- again out of our league.

My personal choice would be Appiah- I think he is rugged enough to handle the battle but silky enough to give us what we need. If we can get him for around the £5m mark we will still have a bit of money in the bank ready for January if we need any extra cover.

You are right Mick there are some idiots out there who think this whole mess was created to get a yes vote, so flipping stupid as to be laughable.

No need for the idiot tag robert we all have different opinions more has come out since a few of us posted on sunday to back the claim we have got some money even though i,m surprised 20 million has just seemed to appear.
I,m surprised how a few on here hate other posters having different opinions to them if they do they seem to take it personel.
We all love everton and we all think differently so why can,t we debate with respect.

I would firstly like to say i'm as upset about this as everyone else, manny was the one player i wanted us to sign this summer.

Look at it from his point off view ..... he's not an evertonian like we are, so he has no allegance to us. Just because he played for us on loan doesn't mean he has an obligation to sign for us.

Put yourselves in his shoes, your training with a team you are possibly signing for and you get a call from your agent to say that benfica have had a bid from one of the biggest teams in europe, never mind spain. After all is said and done the fact the deal dragged out is not manny's fault and i think if there was no red tape to go through he would've been an Everton player last week, dont think he would ve bothered comin over to train with us if that wasnt the case.

I can honestly say that if i was in his position, i'd have done the same thing. I've got family in Valencia and i know what i nice place it is to live and i 've been to games over there as well, its a crackin atmosphere at the mestalla.

If your gonna blame anyone BLAME the fa for the fact he's gone to Valencia, dont think they had any ploblems gettin the deal done in a day or so with the spanish fa :(

Daz, I was thinking of the posters on Teamtalk and TW mailbag, their posts are unbelievable. Sorry but can anyone truthfully believe this transfer business was a cover to get a yes vote?

As for the FA, look at the way England managers are found and dealt with. Ericsonn was relieved of his duties but that continued to pay him for a year. I agree with some posts that the FA fall over backwards to help the "favoured" clubs but are not as helpful to the others.

Sorry rob i should have known, like i said before though some people will be on the fence and things like this could sway them.
I,m still sceptical on the 20 mill but if we spend it i will apologise to kenwright

I can understand what you say dejan, and I agree in majority with it. But the big difference between Fernandes and Sissoko for example is that Fernandes had made a vocal promise to sign and then made a 180 and signed for another club. Sissoko NEVER said that he would sign and therefore that transfer, while being a huge bellypunch, was 100% ok and Sissoko could come out of it with his head high and saying that he hadn't done anything wrong. Fernandes on the other hand made a promise and didn't keep it. That's what irritates me about this whole affair.

I just hope we come up against them in Europe, nothing against Valencia they did what any club would do its business but what kind of reception do you all think the Gwladys would give a certain someone:lol:

They still have a champions league 2nd leg, they can always lose and be placed in UEFA cup. I'd love to just see a game with him playing against us, whatta poes.

Have a very hard time imagine they'll loose out to Elfsborg after winning 3-0 at home. :(

Just keep hoping they finish third in their group and we kick them out of the UEFA-cup when they get thrown into that one instead.
