just read the fernandes story on the bbc site.

totally gutted.

mark my words gentleman. We've missed out on a genius there. [Poor language removed]' fa dragging their feet. makes me wanna give up football. sometimes, I think we aren't allowed to compete. football is a shitty racket.

christ, didn't the lad shake on a deal - or is that not worth anything anymore?

somebody cheer me the [Poor language removed] up please.

I was saying last night that what is the point in competing.

Nobody wants anyone out of the top 4 to compete. It will [Poor language removed] up Sky for a start.

To hear Charlie Nicholas and that villa [Poor language removed] on Saturday Soccer telling Jeff Sterling that he was living in la la land if he expects the top 4 to be broken.

Hang on, didn't we come 4th 3 seasons back? When the top 4 were collectively more talented then they are now.

Chelsea, look beatable.
Man U, well only have to have seen last nights performance to see where they are.
Liverpool, [Poor language removed] em.
Arsenal - young and inexperienced with a dodgy keeper.

But if Platini has his way it will be all about the top 3, tbh I cannot see anyone being able to compete with these clubs at this time. We got to 6th and Spurs 5th, it was not easy when you look at the points gap and our start this season is not as good as last!

Yeah but Man U have had almost there worst start for over ten years.

Last season these were our notable results.

Wins
Arsenal (h), Liverpool (h), Spurs (a)

Draws
Arsenal (a), Chelsea (a), Liverpool (a)

Out of 30 points from the top 5 we took 12. I know there are ifs and buts, but we could have beaten Chelsea at home, Man U at home and Spurs at home.

We have proven we can compete with the top 5 teams. Its just the silly results like Reading and Blackburn this season that we need to erradicate. More experience, more talent and we'll be up there. I just don't buy this top 4 bollocks, but our job and Spurs's job are made so much harder.

That Blackburn game was bizarre. 2 miskicks and it ends up in the back of our net. Then we get scared of the ball and for some reason Hibbert seemed to be our playmaker. Whoever it was that said teams realise he can't pass and exploit this were bang on.

And to go slightly off topic. Did anyone else think the Setanta commentary team was irritatingly red-[Poor language removed] biased. Why do we always end up with ex-red [Poor language removed] pundits for our games? The same with the Spurs game. Anyway.

You're probably right, but he does seem like a good option if the Fernandes deal is out the window. We really have to make sure we bring someone in with the ball skills and passing skills of Fernandes and really quickly.

I don,t believe we have the money ghost if i,m wrong we will spend 20 million before friday but i can,t see it.
All summer we have struggled then all of a sudden before the vote we find 20 million now this it doesn,t add up the board would have known about yakubus permit or lack of one,i will apologise if wrong like i have said but to me it was all made up

We were apparently about to cough 12m for him, so yeah we DO actually have the cash.

Scott Parker anyone?
