I have to disagree with you just a little there, Woz. Once all are fit - including Cahill, Vaughan - I like our first team. I think we have more of a flair player in Pienaar than perhaps we realize. I'm sure we are still trying to sign another senior squad player at this stage as well.

But at the same time we have to keep building for the future. They are not mutually exclusive exercises.

I disagree if he was good enough for AC Milan and was being touted as a possible target for Man Utd. as a Roy Keane replacement then he can't be half bad. Captain of a very promising swiss side on such a low fee this kid is a bargain with bags of experience in europe.

Oh, I like our first 11 as well.. but we don't have the depth with a few injuries when the games stack up, these last two games was proof of that. I just think that we're spending a bit too much time chasing youngsters now when we need seniorsquad players.

Vogel might be a great player, but we need someone with flair and skill in the middle of the midfield so we can play teh ball up on a place where Arteta isn't. We can't place all the buildup through him... like we do now. Fernandes would have been of great use in the central of midfield for that reason. Vogel isn't the same type. That's my fear.

I don't think they could humanly stop him from playing for us. He has had numerous sound bytes about how Everton is his prefered destination is experience in Europe will be invaluable and you can bet your house on the fact that he passes better then Carsley and Neville.

Hopefully Moyes will push the next transfer through as quickly as possible as its obvious the FA dossing about has cost us the signing of Manuel Fernandes who can leave Valencia at a whooping 28 Million......what a profit that will be.
