For anybody who has got further, whatever happens is it Kane that your club signs which means you drop down in the pecking order?

I know it's Di Maria if you select Arsenal or Spurs as your first club, but I dunno, would be a bit of a 'meh' for me if literally any club in the league signs one of the best strikers.

As I said, I'm a sapper for realism (I'm not a gamer at all other than FIFA - and even then it's sporadic tbh) but my OCD gets the better of me.

Would just be a bit of let down IMO if they've gone to so many lengths to make the game mode ultra realistic, only to then have Kane rock up at FF like we'd not just have signed a free agent from Scotland instead

Could be wrong mate but apparently they wheel out Oumar Niasse and say he is just like a new signing and we just missed out on signing someone.

Yeah Kane signs and forms a partnership with your mate Gareth, you're getting half an hour here and there in league games and then they send you out on on loan, regardless of whether you're crap or setting the world alight. I'm at Villa at present, battering it.

I liked the start of it but haven't actually got to any of the pre-season games yet.

Also @marsh I agree - I played a game last night just vs the CPU (my wifi is pretty crap so hardly ever bother going on line - and I'm not arsed about ultimate team). Think it may be the frostbite engine but yeh it does seem harder.

A quick note. I've never noticed this before but if you want to make the game better, then get to the 'Customisation Sliders' in Game Settings.

Basically, you can customise both CPU and User options. I knew you could do this, but I didn't see the difference it made until last night.

So many times before I've been frustrated when my full-backs haven't overlapped, or the team aren't pressing, even when I've set the tactics right in team management. But if you go in User Customisation there's loads of little tweaks you can make - one of them just as an example being how far the full-backs push up. Put it up to 70 and bloody hell, the difference it makes (especially with a player like Coleman) was unbelievable. Adds a completely different dimension to the thing.

I also play World Class difficulty, which is about my level vs the CPU - but I made it a bit harder and although it was only vs Palace (as I said, sapper for realism) the game felt like a proper 'match' with me having boosted the CPU's gameplay a bit (though I did knock down a few of their player ratings - as I did for us - e.g. put Rom down to an 83, Del a 78, Barks a 79, Jags 80 etc.).

Now that would be very Everton :)

It's a small gripe like, and I'm sure they'll improve it year upon year. I imagine for example that next season you'll be able to play as most of the big European Clubs as well.

See. That's a bit stupid to me. Surely they could've set the game so that it's either a realistic signing or, if your club already has a top striker on the books (e.g. Rom) the signing doesn't happen.

I know it's a very small gripe but I just hate how EA constantly go to all these lengths to make the game so realistic, then chuck in something like that (e.g. imagine picking Hull and suddenly Kane rocks up to help their scrap for survival!).

Similarly why Career Mode annoys me a bit. I always have transfer window turned off in the first window, as to just go with the squads that I and the rest have until January. As opposed to Neuer moving to Burnley on deadline day for £12mil plus Tom Heaton...

So, depending on who you pick decides how good a season Jim Hunter really had that year

Sadly, he didn't get to win the First Division, as that was won by Leeds

The best result he can have is if he played for Liverpool or Everton and finished 2nd or 3rd respectively

The worst would be if he played for Swansea, as he would have been down in the mid table of the Fourth Tier

Interestingly, if you picked Leicester he would have been relegated that season, scoring a humongous 56% of the teams goals in a season that saw them finish 21st in the First Division

Like swapping the player career mode out for something with a bit more of a spine to it.

Yeh it's only for the season.

I do think they'll introduce it again in the next edition and increase it, or maybe even release some DLCs.

But generally I get FIFA just to kill some spare time in the event I have it.

I can't really dedicate loads to it but it's the only time I ever really spend money on games (well, in fact, I think the last game I got that wasn't FIFA was GTA5, so that was what, 3 years ago?)

Will start a career mode though I think. Will probably do one as Everton, and then also a foreign club. I did a Sevilla one on 16 so may go with that again - they're always an enjoyable side to play with. Can challenge for top four in LaLiga easily enough, and make a good run of it in Europe as well.

same here these days, just killing time rather than really getting into a game. Just have a few career matches then turn it off sort of thing.

Never bother online games though. Mainly because the minute i do i will be called away for something guaranteed.

i figured out how to take the last versions of them. not perfect every time but hit some brilliant ones in last years game.

But the training thing had pogba hoofing them straight and i couldn't figure out how to bend them haha
