How could we argue that the commission isn't independent?

The Premier League appoints a panel of professionals who are used in disciplinary cases. Those professionals are vetted by all of the clubs before they are appointed. We had ample opportunity to state those individuals had question marks over their independence.

I think you're a decent guy, so I'm not going to fall down to name calling.

I'm giving an example.

However, could a case be made that the Premier League commission is not independent from the Premier League? I would suggest so.

Likewise, could you state to me another legal system, in a free society, that would have the prosecution effectively selecting the judge and jury of a case? I dont know of many legal systems where that happens. I'm happy to hear examples of countries with reasonable freedoms where that is the process.

If I'm pointing these things out, on a Friday evening, you can be quite sure that highly laid lawyers may have noticed these inconsistencies. It also probably explains why the PL does not want independent regulation, and does its upmost to stop any of its processes being heard in an impartial court. That alone is hardly a ringing endorsement of confidence in its processes is it?

Why are you comparing criminal law and murder to commerical law and this?

Also appeal courts don't hand put penalties.
