Financial Fair Play investigation

I'm still waiting for you to tell me what CAUSE do we have to sue?

But this is where you just havent listened at all to what I've been saying.

I have no idea if we will launch into a legal case. I am merely pointing out there are circumstances that theoretically exist where we could.

I'm unconvinced we will.

Finally. You've acknowledged we don't have cause to launch a legal action

I assumed this also up to this yesterday mate.

But I dont think that’s the case at all now. If we hadn’t of sold Richarlison and Digne etc for 67.7 mill - we would have made a loss of 112 mill. We sold both and are still above the P/S threshold and lost 44.7 mill despite their sales.

I assumed we were above the P/S threshold this financial year selling Gordon and Kean - I don’t think we are, we likely have made a similar amount of innand around 67 mill, this money isn’t being reinvested it’s going to pay down losses - it’s not profit at all - it’s just going into a black hole and we loose our better players.

These accounts really are poor, hugely concerning and disappointing.

If weve sold Gordon + Kean then surely were looking at a similar level to the year weve been discussing?

If both years were £44.7mil then after a few things were removed the FFP (P/S) number for each year would be somewhere between £25-35mil surely?

Double that for this and last seasons numbers then it looks promising for either this or next summer...

We only need to get to the stadium being built when the commercial deals 'save' us.

If someone agreed with @Damo_1878 and @gwladysnight would that be the same as saying that they were as thick as two planks?

I'm sure they're perfectly nice people, indeed @gwladysnight has shown me real kindness in the past privately, which I remember and appreciate.

But I dont think they've made a lot of sense on this topic. You can kind of see that from the way they keep having to change what they are saying.

If you would have bothered to read, you would have grasped this 12 hours ago like everyone else did.

But I'm glad you have got their eventually. Hopefully you can be a bit less stressy now you've finally understood what I have been saying.

Still waiting for DBB to deliver on those commercial deals she mentioned 3 months ago that were apparently weeks away from being announced.

So now we know where we stand with regards to the cahrge, i make our loss position this:

Year 1: £111.8 mill loss

Year 2: £42.25 loss - two years averaged - Covid losses.

Year 3: £36.4m - less covid losses.

Total: 190.45

Ill deduct £45 mill over the three years to conservably reflect allowed deductions for women's footballs, community and academy.

Total: £145.45

I make it we are over £40 mill in breach.

This season with the sales made etc we should look a little better than the Year 3 number listed.

So would pass this year. Then of course we have that £111mil year one pushed out

kean will give us a modest profit, some of his transfer fee will have been amortised, so his book value will have been less than what they paid.
Gordon is the deal that will help most. As a home grown player, his fee will be 100% profit on the books…. Still, without selling Digne and Richie last year, we’d have lost over £100m. Which is frankly terrifying to me.
How can we splurge all that cash and be far worse? Incredible

I wonder if wages come down, and some historic amortisation costs go off?

This year 22/23 i make savings wages and ammrotisation:

22/23
Gylfi: £14.1mill
Tosun: £7.1 mill
Delph £7.76 mill
Allan: £10.8.mill
Richarlison: £12.68

= £52.4 mill.

Maybe we could be just about profitable, now that i run it, if the above is right mate.

We did sign players to so some of those above costs are redistributed.

It's quite high on fees.

He's not wrong about Bill to be fair, his issue is he only thinks in binary which makes it impossible to have a discussion with him. I don't think he's as bad as some in here who will be made up to see the PL destroy us, and want to troll fellow blues (in the case of the ones who are actually blues) about it. He just clearly struggles a bit socially.

Anybody making references to Rulings and Cause in this thread (unless they’re North American) should be viewed with some caution. They’re not concepts generally in this jurisdiction. We tend to do Judgments or decisions.

"Cause of action" or "cause" is very known in this jurisdiction.
