As I understand both sides have the right to appeal and I expect that if Everton(for instance) felt the ruling was unjust there is always the option of going to the courts.

I think that those charged with making the decision are fully aware of the perils of making a decision that isn't watertight.
 
I've been bleating on recently about the powers that be, who apparently have reached their verdict, are bang out of order delaying telling us.
I say this believing that the sooner we know the sooner we can play the way out of it if we get a points deduction.
Now I'm reading that any such penalty won't take effect until the 24/25 season. Is this going to be the case?

The lack of transparency on the rules then will bite them in the arse now. The league should have just exempted the Covid seasons from the rules as it looks messy now.

We are innocent. We complied with the P&S* just like the rs won a title*.

How can they appeal their own decision. Surely they can only appeal later on if we win an appeal.

It’s not their decision they are appealing though. It’s the commissions decision they are appealing and then potentially the commissions punishment if they feel it is too lenient.

All the PL have done is say they think we have broken the rules and then asked their Chair of Judical Panel to form a commission to investigate whether we have or not.
