Factor in momentum lost + morale blow + likely injuries to DCL and we would be teetering on the edge...at best.

Surely momentum and morale among players come from performances and results on the pitch. They can dock points in some back room somewhere but they can’t erase our recent performances or results from having happened.

Yes, but these players are only human. They know the crap we''ve been in for two previous seasons and they'll have been looking forward to having a stress free end to the season. A points deduction puts them right back under the cosh.

It''ll have an impact on them. No question IMO.

I hope you're right. There was a lot of certainty in his response to Danny Murphy saying to him fines would be how all these transgressions by Everton, Chelsea and City would be dealt with. A firm 'No" on the question of Everton and then "points deductions".

The decision will be known now and I bet he and a lot of others know too...see McNultys piece saying he'd bet against us still surviving even with a points deduction...another dead giveaway.

People are being briefed and Ild say we're no more than 48 hours away from this being announced.

Even if there is a points deduction,
There's no way Everton don't appeal it.
It's not like this independent board announce a points deduction and it happens immediately.
I'd imagine it'd be a lengthy appeals process with clubs like City probably weighing in behind the scenes.

Usmanov, Abramovic, Mansur, the saudis... Christ, maybe it is the best league in the world but it's murky as all hell.
