Financial Fair Play investigation

Well hold on, the latest set of accounts were looked at in about 2 weeks. I'm not sure why if it can be done in 2-3 weeks, it should take years.

Manchester City is a unique case, as they didnt comply, and have dragged the process on. Neither of those things are relevant here.

Its always worth saying, the PL have stated that the clubs accounts have been accepted.

As a final aside, I dont think it's a realistic solution at all, for a regulator to never make a decision whether accounts are passed or not. Businesses cant plan or prepare unless they are given feedback in some reasonable time frame.

We live in innocent until guilty. If you submit accounts, and no problems are highlighted, those accounts have effectively been passed. This is how the world works.
That is not the true

This is ir entirely. Its nonsense to suggest accounts that arent charged, are in some sort of purgatory. If they are not highlighted, they are accepted.

One point to say someone doesnt know what they are talking about, is if they say it takes years to audit an income statement. Its completely nonsense. An income statement can be analysed in a few days, and most Accountancy firms would do so.

It just shows that lad doesnt have a clue what hes talking about. No regulator can wait years to audit an account. It would be the height of ineptitude to suggest as much.

You are right, if theres a problem, it gets reported.
Can u explain why in 2023, Man City has been charged with FFP breaches dating back every year to 2009?

You're right about Brighton they are having a tremendous season and deservedly so, they also by the looks of it are a well run club but come the summer they will lose 3/4 of their best players and then will have to re-invent themselves meaning they are more likely to go backwards than forwards next season because they cant attract players to get to the next level.

As a business model they are great but as football club trying to achieve things or propel themselves to the next level and join the elite it wont ever happen.
But why would they even want that at this stage? It’s virtually impossible for the near future at least. They could continue to be a top half premier league team for the next decade. It’s what we should have done instead of spunking tonnes of cash on overpriced players.

I bet they have contingency plans in place for every player they lose with multiple targets already identified. Even if their manager leaves.

That is not the true

Of course it is.

If you pass information to a regulator, and they do not query it, it's been accepted.

Your version of events, that a regulator can just wait indefinitely for years it complete nonsense. How could clubs prepare if they didnt know if their figures were accepted? You could never plan.

Likewise the PL have also literally stated they have been accepted.

Polite question, do you ever know what an Income Statement is? I genuinely dont think you have any idea what it is. It's not a complex document for Accounting professionals.

So for the record, everybset of accounts before this year has not been highlighted, and has passed. Please stop spreading misinformation about things you dont understand.

I think there is very little to worry about in terms of a point deduction. Screw us then they have to screw the cash cows.

Because they did not supply the relevant information.

The league raised questions, and Manchester City refused to engage in the process.

It has not taken Accountants 14 years to understand their Income statement. I mean, the ignorance for you to think that's what's happened.

Politely, you do not understand the process at all lad.
