Financial Fair Play investigation

Forest have a right cheek getting involved given they bought an entire squad this year, defo broke a load of rules. How about Huddersfield sue them for refballing their way through the playoff final and then nicking their best player and not playing him?

There is plenty for a half decent lawyer to get hold of in our defence, and I believe at least one of the commission will have a legal background.

A club already in a process of co-operation and monitoring with the PL is told they have no case to answer, and this is communicated to the other member clubs.

Following a period of still further co-operation, increased austerity, and positive consolidation of the position, the club is then told it does have a case to answer.

Whatever the facts and rights and wrongs, the mere optics of this are poor for an advocate of punishment, if not a guilty finding.

There has been a punishment on the club, they have taken two years of austerity and belt tightening to the extent where are where we are in the league.

If we are punished, there will be no point whatsoever in any club engaging with the PL ahead of a hearing. It will be full steam ahead for the big 6/7 to impose their will once and for all and establish, as a consequence, the European Super League.

Sounds like we're finally getting ahold of the narrative from this.

18 months to the hearing? I'd point out that City have been under investigation from before any allegations against us and for more serious offences. Get that sorted first please or perhaps cop a probationary period whilst we sort ourselves out - we've been cooperating with the league in exceptional circumstances - so that seems extremely fair and perhaps even excessive.
Also from what I have read, there are over 100 charges against City and just one against us. So any point deductions would put City in League 1

Genuine question - is what we're charged with the exact same as Man City? They were charged in Feb a month before us, but only there's is over a 9 year period.

Surely their case will be held beforehand and it will be unprecedented as never happened before?
No. Man City are being accused of much worse over a prolonged period of time.

We are being accused of financial breaches after working hand in hand with the league and them appearing to approve all we were doing. Like a policeman telling you to drive through a red light to unobstruct a road for an ambulance and then sending you a fine 6 months later - there may be some technical breach but any fair investigation should not be a witch hunt.
