That took me back to the hoodie moral panic of the early 00's.Well past the time they should have banned the sale of fireworks to the public. They are dangerous weapons and that's become apparent in Edinburgh the last few years. Gangs of hoodies now terrorise large areas of the city, firing rockets at peoples' windows, vandalising cars and attacking police and fire brigades. Eighteen arrested on the fifth and more to come.
I love them the mrs and I go every year to an organised event and we also enjoy sitting in our garden watching other people’s fireworks … we’re not miserable old sods
I’m off to another public display tonight in the lovely little town of Beaumaris, it’s an all day event in the town apparently with street stalls selling different styles of food etc. should be good.I have one at our pub every year. Large bonfire and loads of fireworks. One of the farmers lends me the field next to the pub and he also provides all the pallets for the bonfire. Apart from myself and two helpers, no one is allowed in the field, we close our car park and hundreds turn up to watch from the car park which overlooks the field. BBQ and outside bar together with the bars in the pub look after the customers before I light the bonfire then shortly after set off the fireworks. It works very well and a great night is had by all…..
