Just noticed while we have two games in about three days, West Ham have an even tougher schedule

Sunday 7pm (home at least) but Vs Wolves

Monday us away at 7.45

What sort of team will Covid United be putting out? They'll have to rotate everyone, but then their second team has been better than their first choice so far.
I thought the games were Tues /Weds
With West Ham playing Sunday I would say our game is weds

Yes I was too quick my fixtures app has just listed all of them on the Monday (provisionally) as the dates are yet to be confirmed.

My app (Fotmob) has all the round listed as on the Monday but this would potentially mean clashes with other fixtures that night dependent on the outcome of tonight's matches so the fixtures will be allocated the proper dates after tonight.

Flashscores has ours taking place on Tuesday which is still harsh on West Ham who play Sunday evening too.

He keeps making these mistakes time after time. I've been saying for a long time. He is a poor keeper. Too small terible on crosses, makes the defence nervous.
First goal purely down to him for me. He had time to get rid but switches it to his better foot. No anticipation that 2 players are quickly closing him down.
2nd goal sums him up completely. He starts to come for the cross, realises he can't get it and backtracks towards his line. Shot comes in straight at him, and yes straight at him, he tries to palm the ball away for some reason and helps it into the net.
Last season he cost us lots of goals. He can't be defended now. He is just a terrible keeper who thinks he is a brilliant keeper.
Pickford needs to be dropped. Fighting his way back in to the first team would do him the world of good.

Same thing happened with Southall in his early days. Kendall didn't hesitate to drop him, he worked his way back into squad, and the rest is history.

Pickford has that potential, as the Spurs game showed, and is still young for a keeper. He's by no means the finished product.

Ironically, I don't think being England's no.1 is helping him at all. I wonder if it's putting pressure on the Club to keep him as our 1st choice. Because if he loses his England spot due to being benched by us, so losing both at the same time, that could have a detrimental effect on his confidence.

I can agree with this. He does seem to lose concentration in games. A spell being dropped may make him reflect and train hard. Something needs to be done about him

While Pickford got away with two clangers last night, it shouldn't (and won't) be overlooked, but as he's going nowhere at the moment he really needs proper competition for his place as opposed to the non-threat the current options offer. What Chelsea have done in bringing in Mendy (in the face of their own expensive flop) is the sort of deal we should be aiming for; get a keeper who is clearly ready for the first team and get a bit of competition going.

Anyway, I was very pleased with that result - just like the weekend, it proves that we're currently creating (and taking) so many more chances than the shot-shy team that ended last season. This means we can overcome setbacks on both a basic scoreline level and, perhaps more importantly, in terms of mentality, which seems to be so much better. Up until very recently, we all knew the script when one (never mind two) keeper howlers occurred... heads would drop, and any and all good work would be undone as the team imploded.

Seeing your username. Wouldn't it be great to bring big Nev in as his goalkeeping coach. Nev wouldn't hold back with the criticism:)
Yep. Missed a trick there. We should of brought him in as soon as he retired.

I don't think he'd come now. He does really important work with the under privileged, and I have to wonder if he's a tad overweight to be a coach at a premier league club.

No, in the past Nev has very much done the whole 'goalkeepers union' thing and seems to make excuses, also the whole thing with him and Blue Bill means that ain't ever happening imo.

If it was possible I would give 2 men of the match awards for last nights game, one was to Nkounkou, I thought he was brilliant, the other one would be for Bernard, I think it was the his best game in an EFC shirt, he dominated the midfield especially in the first half.
