You did, I keep telling you why you're wrong.

It was quite evident what Watkins added today. In fact, all tournament - he added 1 goal and looked worse than Kane.

Southgate is still the problem here.

Yeah, no idea why you keep watching and even @ing me tho.
So Kane player 560+ minutes and scored 3 goals. 1 being a penalty.

Watkins played about 50 mins and scored 1 goal.

Stretching the defence and in certainly the lst 30 or so mins allowed the team to play much more offensively.

Again, really do not understand your logic.

Clear to see what Kane added (or didn’t). Others would have fared much better.

I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that if Watkins or Toney got the majority of the minutes, the team would have scored more goals. That doesn’t make them better players, but better fits.

By the same token if you put Gordon and Rashford on either side of Kane, they score more goals as well. Too much focus on putting the best 11 players on the pitch
Honestly wouldn’t bother…. Either a WUM or clearly no knowledge on football.

It’s quite amusing tbf.

Kane touched the ball about 30 times in the entire tournament. He was absolute fire in every game. Any time England broke he was no where to be seen. It’s absolutely baffling that anyone thinks he was the right person to lead the line but each to their own I suppose. I just think generally it’s beneficial to have a striker that can actually move.
He did, which is my problem with the setup as well - why is he sitting deep, or defending? You play him as a striker, he has to stay up top, this is some utter nonsense to have him back around the keeper's box defending corners.

You had no one to lead the line with a setup like this - there is no line to lead. Set up for success and he's the man that will score, as that's what he's done for about a decade now.
Can’t score if you aren’t in the box ya know?

I mean you can but it’s harder
Fond memories of Pogba scoring blammos for Juve tbh.

A real midfielder Pogba. A shame he was mentally insane.

Gordon - Foden (or Palmer tbh) - Saka

Behind any striker who's playing as a striker. Easy goals.

Nymz posted the average positions for England a page or two back, it's not a structure that will win a game against an organised team, as Spain are. Le Normand looked fantastic against this - long balls to no one in particular for 3/4 of the game, no one there to break. He was punished several times this tournament and was then shaky, but this isn't something that was to be exploited tonight apparently.

? If anything he played too far up field. To get the best of him you need him in the middle third, play through him.

Jesus Christ. Busquets was amazing. No wonder the US at sh!t at football. It’s beyond your comprehension.
Including you @DualityNSNO

You are, I believe quite new. I said to @DualityNSNO 'you are a quality poster. Why do you engage with the US dope?'

I say to you, you might well be a quality poster. Why do you engage with the US dope? He's 'kin stupid is as stupid is.

On the break he's not - he comes back to defend corners/free kicks and doesn't have (and never had) the pace to then sprint upfield, which is bizarre to me as a choice.

The way Morata played is exactly what Kane should've been doing today, and the team around him - Olmo looked 50 times the player he usually is as he had someone to enable him to play and drag defenders. Kane was dragging defenders for no one and the structure of the team is nonexistent.
