Never got the 'He must be a bad player because his team dint win anything' argument.

I mean you can argue about Kane's mentality in big games but his personal record speaks for itself.

Ok I may be a bit harsh if wherever I have said he is a bad player… he is not.

But world class he is not either. World class players win things…. They win these games for the team.

Odd take Ig. You’ve had a few but this one stands out. He’s very very good at what he does. Has a good passing range. Covers well.
Has a belter of a shot when he gets a chance to show it.

I will give him a little credit the shooting has taken him up a notch. Got beat all ends up multiple times today and it didn’t cost him which the quality of his team masks frequently.

So Watkins (as an individual being a roughly 1 in 3 striker) is a serial winner by your logic, and he'll go on to win things.

Kane won the European golden boot but just now but that was just dumb luck and he's a loser.

You're right, but they're also with the same limitations - no idea why we're pretending that Ivan Toney is some dynamic powerhouse of a forward, likewise Watkins. Both are far from it, like Kane, but also actually worse as players.

Also feels like a no brainer to build the team at least partially to function well for one of the best players on your team, but that's not the England/Southgate way, I know.
