I'm with the carpetbagger on this one. If we can get 15k for that sale we could upgrade the change rooms, bit embarrassing we're still using that burnt out caravan since Ward sub-let the home change rooms out to dodgy danny rowe to grow those plants no one is supposed to know about. This anti Hendo agenda is just what Ward wants. He'd love to pocket the cash from that sale.
Shush. Loose lips sink ships. No one supposed to know about Operation Forest of Green.I'm with the carpetbagger on this one. What a game!AFC Fylde vs Swansea City
F.A. Cup Third Round
3rd January 2032
The first game of 2032 was the F.A Cup Third Round tie against Championship side Swansea City. O'Neill and Bytheway were missing through injury but Uttridge was back in the team and Joe Donnelly was on the bench. The sell-out crowd were vocal in their support for the team as a place in the Fourth round could be decided in 90 minutes. Fylde started well keeping possession and doing a good defensive job against Swansea in the opening 20 minutes. Henderson won the ball back for Fylde on 21 minutes and played it forward for Jack Quinn who knocked it past the last man and was one on one with the keeper, he put it low into the bottom corner! 1-0 to Fylde! Brilliant finish from Quinn! Swansea were coming at Fylde but were not getting their shots on target, Fylde done a great job defensively to not allow them space. Can Ferguson's men hold on and see it out? With 30 minutes to go Fylde went more defensive with an extra body in the middle. Hutson was taken off for McKimm-Forster. Fylde were battling hard and making it difficult for Swansea, McKimm-Forster won the ball back in the middle of the park and played it wide to second half sub Sean Jones, Jones won the corner with three minutes to go. Into time added on and McMillan had the ball for Swansea inside the Fylde half, he knocked it right to Ojo but John Jones done brilliant blocking the cross. With only seconds to go Swansea had a throw-in at the corner flag, Ojo threw it into the box but it was picked up by McKimm-Forster and the whistle is blown to the delight of the Fylde fans! It's a win for Fylde as they progress to the next round of the F.A. Cup!
DF: It was a gritty performance, we dug deep and we were magnificent. The goal was brilliant and we done well to hold the lead under much pressure from Swansea. I'm proud of the hard work we put in and ecstatic we are in the hat for the fourth round. The competition gets harder but I feel we can give anyone a game if they come to a ground like this.
