DUNCAN FERGUSON STATEMENT
It is with deep sadness I leave my post as manager of AFC Fylde. Fylde have been a massive part of my football career and it was the hardest decision I have ever had to make. We have achieved a great deal since I took the job in 2018 and we have come so far not just as a football club but as a town. I have worked with some of the most professional of sports people in my tenure as manager, people who have become very close friends to me and my family. The supporters are what make this club, your support for me over the last fifteen years has been nothing short of breath-taking, we really have seen it all! The time had come for me to leave this great club, the club fundamentals have seemingly dispersed over current times. However, I know this club will get back to being what it was once about. I would like to end this by saying that I urge you to support the new manager and give them time. It will be new to them but with your support anything is possible. Forever a Coaster and forever in my heart. Duncan Ferguson.

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say big dunc had taken us as far as was possible for someone that just "puts the cones down". Now pinching a manager from a massive club like Aldershot shows us we're mixing it with the big players.
