Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

View attachment 172381

Gary McKenna joins the club after playing in the Scottish League One for Stenhousemuir. McKenna came through the ranks at Cowdenbeath but has Northern Irish Grandparents making him eligible for Northern Ireland who he has represented at Under 19 level. He is a fantastic signing and becomes Euan Henderson's second signing for the club.
Saw his uncle Paul do a hypnotism show at the Dollingstown Opera House 20 years ago. Very motivational, got me the breakthrough to smoking 60 a day after being stuck at a weasels 30 a day like I was a wee nipper.

Hope wee Gary has even half the impact!

PRE-SEASON ROUND-UP

RESULTS

Pre season 2037.png

As the team grew familiar with Euan Henderson's tactics and style of play, the performances on the pitch improved and it was rounded off with a clinical display against Newington on 25th July. 24 year old Striker Michael Coyle got two goals with right winger Marc O'Hara getting the third. The squad looks in good shape despite consisting of 19 players. Henderson brought in three 16 years olds Barry Ewart, Duncan Herron and Luke Kemp from the youth team believing they can have an impact this season on the first team. The biggest blow came when 26 year old highly rated midfielder Johnny McGurgan broke his ankle and was ruled out for almost 8 months, Euan Henderson looks likely to give 16 year old midfielder Duncan Herron a chance in the first team.

EH: Pre-season has gone well and we are in good shape for the season ahead. It's a blow to lose Johnny McGurgan and we are keeping our options open on available players who could come here and a do a job. We are as prepared as we can be at this stage and we are going to take each game as it comes. I've seen the odds and they are stacked against us being the promoted side and we will go into every game fighting with desire and aggression.

Cliftonville will be going for a 14th Premiership title this season having won 7 titles in the last 10 years. Record winners Linfield won their 59th and last title in 2025 and only managed to achieve 2nd place in 2033. Dollingstown won the Bluefin Sport Championship in 2035 but were relegated from the Premiership in 2036. They won the league again in 2037 and will be battling to stay in the top flight this time around.

As we prepare for the new season, let's take a look back at Dollingstown's recent history.

Wee Johnny Mc out? Just as he was gaining momentum too. Big Duncan was waxing lyrical in my local, the hairy leprechaun, that he was the new Danny Rowe. But apart from wee Virgil, who ever played on with one leg?

Dollingstown vs Harland and Wolff Welders
1st August 2037

=Harland and Wolff Welders Result.webp

It was the first day of the new Danske Bank Premiership and we had new managers in both dugouts. Euan Henderson who established himself as a Fylde legend with 183 goals and Tom Warwich who enjoyed a football career with St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership. Euan Henderson had experience alongside him in the form of 65 year old Duncan Ferguson who was Euan's manager and mentor at Fylde. All tickets were sold for the clash with fans clamouring to see Henderson and Ferguson together. Henderson went with a 4-4-2 formation with star players like David Kee at the back, Simon Young on the right wing and Jimmy Boyd up front with Michael Coyle. 16 year old Duncan Herron started in central midfield. Herron played a nice pass to O'Shea on the ledt wing on 40 minutes and he played the long ball between the defence for Michael Coyle to chase, Coyle composed himself before striking the ball with his right foot just inside the area and made it 1-0 to Dollingstown! There it is! Henderson and Ferguson show their delight! Teggart shows his skills on the left and exchanges passes with O'Shea, Barry Teggart crosses low into the box which is missed from the Harland defenders and Simon Young is there to slot in to make it 2-0! Harland had a chance to pull a goal back when Wells found West at the front post on the corner and he beat Teggart on the post to score. Dollingstown escaped when Wells headed against the bar on 74 minutes and Kee was there to hoof it away. Ten minutes remained and the supporters were cheering their team to victory. 16 year old defender Barry Ewart came on for Duncan Herron who had a fantastic senior debut and David Kee moved into midfield. Gary McKenna got on for the last few minutes replacing Steven Porter who had done well in hid first senior appearance. Simon Young brought the ball forward in stoppage time and won his side a free-kick in the last few seconds to the delight of the crowd, 32 year old David Kee pumped it into the box and threw his hands into the air as Dollingstown recorded a fantastic victory on opening day! What a performance from this young and inexperienced side! They get all three points and Euan Henderson starts his managerial career with a win!

EH: You've got to remember most of these lads have never played senior football, we've got a bunch of kids out there and they proved they have what it takes to play for this club. Jimmy Boyd knows what it means, he's played almost 100 times for the club but players like Duncan Herron, Barry Ewart and Ciaran Mackle have just showed Harland and Wolff Welders what they can do. We're happy to get a win for our supporters today, we battled hard throughout and that's exactly what we said to them before kick-off, go out there and make a name for yourselves. Michael Coyle was excellent, he's been at the club for a year but that's his first senior appearance and he marked it with a true Strikers goal. We've done well with all the departures over the summer due to contracts but we are here to rebuild the club. This is a new era for Dollingstown.

Yes NAC Breda. Just booked 15,000 plane tickets to Holland which I'll sell on at cost price (plus my spotters fee commission of 98%) tonight at the pub.

Oh no its Knockbreda, what the hell am i going to do with all these tickets now ffs.
NACkers or Knockers? We're not from County Antrim Armagh to be making those decisions.

I've got 6.7 million dollars worth of plane tickets I'm trying to offload before tomorrow, that's the least of my worries man!

Considering i only had 46 cents in my bank account i don't know why they let me have them on tick but I'm royally screwed now :(
You'll be grand, Dollingstown International Airport is closed as a helium filled humanoid sexual satisfaction toy apparently broke loose from Planters Park and into the path of an incoming Zeppelin. Full refunds and a complimentary biscuit.
