Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

END OF SEASON AWARDS 2023/24

End of season awards 2023-24.webp

The 2023/24 season was a learning curve for new manager Duncan Ferguson and some heavy defeats along the way would have gave him food for thought as he enters pre-season. His squad evaluation will be complete and we will see throughout the summer window who stays and who goes. Early reports suggest Dele Alli and Ashley Young will be leaving the club as their contracts end and we are yet to hear if Seamus Coleman will be offered a new deal. Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison will return to their clubs after their loan spells and Neal Maupay will return to Everton following his loan spell at Brentford scoring five goals in fourteen appearances. Jordan Pickford, Nathan Patterson and Beto will be at this years European Championships in Germany and the rest of the squad will return to pre-season training on 1st July 2024.

SEAMUS COLEMAN LEAVES EVERTON

It is a sad day for Evertonians as club legend Seamus Coleman has moved on from the club at the end of his contract with a last hurrah in Italy with Genoa in Serie B. Seamus arrived at Everton in 2009 from Sligo Rovers for £60,000. His loan spell at Blackpool was the catalyst for a prominent career down the Everton right side, scoring some exceptional goals for The Toffees. Seamus was a born leader and led by example at the club. He fought for the badge on the shirt and a remarkable performance under the lights against Arsenal on his return from injury showed the character of the man. Seamus played for Everton for fifteen seasons, in that time making 361 league appearances scoring 22 league goals.

DF: Seamus will be missed, they don't make him like him anymore and we felt it was time for him to move on. It was a difficult conversation to have but he understood and has always wanted the best for Everton. Moving on after being somewhere for so long is strange and extremely difficult and I hope Seamus continues to have an impact in Italy, I know he will certainly shake things up over there!

Ashley Young has also left Everton as his contract was not renewed, he has joined Lyon on a one year contract.

EVERTON WASTE NO TIME IN TRANSFER WINDOW

Duncan Ferguson is keen to get business done early and has wasted no time in bringing in his first summer signing:

It's a massive statement from Everton as they bring Roony Bardghji to the club! Bardghji helped FC Kobenhavn to the Superliga title once again and now the winger joins The Toffees in a bid to light up the Premier League!

FERGUSON STRIKES AGAIN

Early business was on the agenda and manager Duncan Ferguson seeemed to making big moves in this season's summer transfer window.

James Rodriguez.png
Could James Rodriguez' return to Everton be the spark they so desperately require a second time around? Now 32 years old, it really begs the question whether James Rodriguez can have a significant impact or will his injuries catch up with him. He is a massive name in the world of football and his return would certainly see a boost for the club commercially, can he bring that level of magic once again to the Pemier League?

Bardghji!!!!!!

Can't wait for a full Bramley Moore to be chanting his name.

It's like the fsw was never here. Things are going to get sassy from here on it I guess.

See the scouting system remains as robust, thorough and high quality as ever...

EVERTON MAKE ANOTHER BIG MOVE!

=KONATE 2.webp

=Konate.webp

Karim Konate may not be a name known by a lot of people at this stage of his career but his goalscoring record speaks for itself. Last season he managed 8 goals in 16 appearances for Red Bull Salzberg and has an impressive 49 career goals in 82 appearances. Konate also has 10 caps for Ivory Coast and 2 goals. Konate is an exciting prospect and one Evertonians should be delighted to see in action this coming seasson.
