Hard to have much sympathy with Perez when he makes basic mistakes like that in Qual.

It makes the RB team decision to heavily favour the brat Verstappen easier to justify.

(unless of course Verstappen holds so much sway in the team they deliberately screw up Perez set up.)

He seems to have had a real nightmare today. Didn't see FP3 but he had a issues there as well apparently and then beaches it in his first lap of qualifying.
 
Well I wasn't expecting that from Mercedes. Russell P2 and Hamilton P3

EDIT: Also not sure what was going on with Albon in the middle sector. Absolutely smashing it through there for the whole session.
 

The merc looks like it could be better under race conditions also. Max seemed to be fast from the off on the tyres but the merc was getting better with more laps. Still expect max to win but hopefully we get some racing for a few laps.

Problem is even if he did have a rubbish start he would still win comfortably. What we need is a pact between the Mercedes drivers that the one that makes the best start has to pile straight into Max at the first corner.
