Hi everyone,

Apologies for the scheduled 40 minute downtime today.

It was necessary to upgrade our core forum software.

This was a big'un with a lot of moving parts - so please use this thread to flag any probs.

In the immediate, your style choices (day vs night) will have likely changed. You can change this back in the footer link, or within your preferences;

Thanks to @mattw who helped massively by setting up a separate test site environment and being on hand to help prevent me breaking the whole thing.

If you don't mind mate try and grab us a screenshot so I can ask people to help fix it.

Hopefully you can just see the reaction menu hiding behind the "right click" menu. From here I just press my back key and the reaction menu becomes accessible.

Thanks and that menu appears upon a single click on reactions?

You're not holding your finger down for a second or so are you?

I think it depends how long you hold the button down.

Below shows it working as it should but then I hold it down a bit longer and the menu comes up.

I'll ask forum people if it's as it should work. Does seem a tad sensitive. Assume it didn't happen previously did it?

Yeah it didn't happen previously but you're absolutely right. If I just hold it slightly less, it works just fine. I can probably develop the right muscle memory over the next few weeks, should work out fine. Ta for the tip.

There's a few immediate improvements.

You can now use Passkeys on here to make logging in easier.

And @Number_25 will be pleased to know all images are being optimised to .webp as standard.

The sloth in me suspects I'll set it up in about 2040 after our treble treble season

Same issue for me, Pixel 7 Pro

Don't recall it ever happening in the past no matter how long I held it tbh, now it's less than a second between the selection coming up and the context menu, if the latter can be delayed by another second or so we'd probably never notice it

Actually just noticed it's long press on loads of elements (next page for example)

Timed it at somewhere between 0-1 seconds of long press brings up context/right click menu

I suspect it's Android rather than here as I've tested it elsewhere too?

Will ask the question anyway as to whether upgrade has changed anything.

Genuine question/feedback - is the adblocking warning supposed to be popping up as often as it is? Seems to be popping up every 3 or 4 page views at the moment.

The default is every page, but made it every 7?

It's intended to nag to encourage you to disable it mate.

The Upgrade seem to be a complete debacle, it’s locked the “fingering”thread and let @chicoazul into the Current Affairs forum.
Huge swathes of America have also been reduced to eating cats and dogs by the sound of it.
