I think Chelsea are close to getting it right. They have an unbelievable squad of players. They will get a proper elite manager in during the summer. He will offload a few of the players and he will buy a striker and Chelsea will be competing for the PL next season

Those 8 year amortisation contracts are taking a good chunk of next year's budget and none of them have hit the ground running. They may need to do some serious offloading but I'm not sure there are many clubs paying Chelsea prices.

I think the only way they do what you say is kicking that spending rules can down the road for another season and that's a huge chasing losses kind of gamble.

I have no idea what Chelsea are thinking tbh. Got sacked a couple of months ago for being absolutely atrocious winning just 3 games out of 20. Should have only been lower league clubs willing to give him another shot. It is a completely insane thing to do especially when they are struggling.

Wish we still had to play them 9 times.
