Frank Lampard is a useless manager

What’s mad is they’ve made a big fuss about how the players didn’t know who potter was , mocked him and the rest . These players are what going to think “this fella didn’t win in 10 and had Everton in the bottom three. Result “

Oh yeah but are they going to be impressed? Presumably they know who Souness is from the telly but not sure he’d be the best appointment.

If he’d left us last year I’d get it but after that run of form seems a mad decision except I suppose the fans will wear it .

And a good few will remember him getting sacked. That said, caretaker appointment.

If any of them had downed tools on Potter there could be a lift just getting rid - any change will do.
And if any players have decided they're already on the beach won't be busting a gut to impress the temp.

There must be some frustration there though. They signed up to big ambitions under an established elite coach with a EC and a couple of league titles (albeit Ligue 1) to his name then went to Potter and now Lampard and given the squad size they're probably fighting over pegs in the changing rooms.

I think the only way they do what you say is kicking that spending rules can down the road for another season and that's a huge chasing losses kind of gamble.

The 8 year contracts will come back to bite them in the ass when they need to offload any of the players that have these contracts

Lots of not right now and unfit type comments. As I said, next season I believe they will be up there as they will have an elite manager and the 'not right now' players may well be 'right now' players. Also, some players were injured, but this doesn't mean they won't recover from injury. And Lukaku is a Chelsea owned player. There is no reason he can't return with a new manager at the helm. Traore was discarded by Villa and was playing in the u23s before being sent to Turkey on loan. We changed our manager, he brought Traore back in Jan from his loan stint and he scored the winner the other night against Leicester. Players can return to clubs! You may not be sold on Felix having seen highlights of him during the few games he played for Chelsea but have a look at his career, he is a top class player.
