Not sure if Frank can turn around this wreckage of a club. It is a massive task and I am not looking forward to watching the inevitable struggle ahead. Sit tight and grip your seats

I dont think the siege mentality can last the whole season. It worked(mostly) in the last part of the season.
Still concerns me that 36 of 38 games last season we had inferior possession. Not like we're quick on the break to counter that.
I simply cant see anything other than a relegation fight as it stands right now.

Kendall was widely regarded as the best uncapped wing half in the league by the fans of most teams.

Sorry to get off topic but can you explain what the hell a wing half is to an (I thought) well educated 33 y/o footballing man? Literally never heard that!

38 here, and I’d still have to make an educated guess.

I think it’s a deep lying midfielder that also moves down the wing.

I may have invented a new type of player but that’s Howard Kendall, apparently. Erm according to me?

A wide midfielder (left midfield and right midfield, or generally side midfielder) (historically called left-half and right-half, or wing-half) is a midfielder who is stationed to the left or right of central midfield.

I wonder what his plan is?

The task of saving us from relegation is complete and all parties involved were pleased to say the least. Including the players.

But what for this new season? I don’t think we are bringing anyone else in.

He needs to be teaching the players how to score from outside the 18 yard box like he used to. That’s what Bramley Moore will want when it’s ready.

It really does depend whether he’s being taught and practicing.

No one of our current players could be Frank in his prime in my view, no matter how hard they train. He’s the manager, try and teach them something, he’s got a fresh season, I guess there’s no excuses.

But in those days they played things like 2-3-5 I think, so they werent like attacking wingers, more like the middle of the 3 on the right.

I think its more if you played 4-3-3 they would be the right midfielder, not the right forward.

Big few months for Frank until the World Cup. Doesn’t look like we can back him in the transfer market

Hopefully he has learnt from some of the mistakes he made last year which I think he will have.

My feelings exactly.

This and the fact the one player who played a massive part in the siege mentality has been sold.

I think as it stands it will be printing money putting money on us going down
