We’ll see. I’m not overly optimistic we actually will be making any moves of significance aside from maybe another outgoing and maybe a couple late loans/frees.Maybe, but dont forget, he knows more than us.
I know we are getting peed with what we see as inaction, but I have no doubt that huge work is getting done behind the scenes.
I never said I was optimistic!!!We’ll see. I’m not overly optimistic we actually will be making any moves of significance aside from maybe another outgoing and maybe a couple late loans/frees.
Do or do not…I never said I was optimistic!!!
We are certainly trying tho.

I am thinking exactly the same, he may find a formula and integrate a youth player and we all think wow what a master stroke, but unfortunately I think we will do well to survive this season as Richarlison dragged this team at times last season over the line, he had a massive influence on other players during matches and it got the crowd going, whereas I dont see it with the players we have left, we all need a big lift as at the moment it is depressingNot sure if Frank can turn around this wreckage of a club. It is a massive task and I am not looking forward to watching the inevitable struggle ahead. Sit tight and grip your seats
Just perusing your list of managers and I understand your point but being a bit pedantic I think Ferguson and Clough at least were very good players whose careers were blighted by injury.…funny, I as only thinking that when I grew up the great managers had rarely been great players. I think we assume judgement and tactics come hand-in-hand with the best players but it’s not necessarily the case;
SAF (4 international caps): Kendall & Catterick (0): Paisley (0): Shankly (5): Clough (2): Revie (6). Ramsey (32) & Ancelotti (26).
i do, however, think the game has changed with introduction of DoF and groups of coaches & assistants. It’s lots to do with surrounding yourself with the best & working with them. I think Lampard is bright enough to do that.
Kendall was widely regarded as the best uncapped wing half in the league by the fans of most teams.Just perusing your list of managers and I understand your point but being a bit pedantic I think Ferguson and Clough at least were very good players whose careers were blighted by injury.
Kendall was certainly a great player in my opinion , the absence of caps being more a case of circumstance rather than lack of ability.
Losing Richarlison is a major blow to our prospects and not only for his goal scoring and talent.I am thinking exactly the same, he may find a formula and integrate a youth player and we all think wow what a master stroke, but unfortunately I think we will do well to survive this season as Richarlison dragged this team at times last season over the line, he had a massive influence on other players during matches and it got the crowd going, whereas I dont see it with the players we have left, we all need a big lift as at the moment it is depressing
Other than the odious Manc being involved interesting hearing Lampard talking about his time managing Chelsea
