Richarlison did a lot of work all over the pitch. We must get a forward to replace him. Also desperately needed are two midfield players. Failing that, we will struggle.

Don’t think we’ll miss Richarlison at all? His work rate was phenomenal for the team, he kept us up with crucial goals in the run in last season. As for his goal return, with the absence of DCL he shouldered the responsibility of carrying our attack. He loved the club and the fans and gave his all for the team. I think we’ll miss Richarlison a lot!
i stand by what i said, he`s gone now so we will see how it pans out. i s`pose he was the most bankable player and we needed to sell someone, i`m just glad it wasn`t DCL or Gordon that went

Having passion doesn't make you a good manager. He made numerous mistakes and somehow thru bit of luck and fans being the 12th man that we stumbled to safety.
If he hasnt learned I can see him gone by xmas

For years we have complained about a lethargic and apathetic side.

And also about fans getting on the players and creating a sour atmosphere

Not anymore and FL deserves credit.

Well if the other chap had remained in charge we would be preparing for life in the Championship.

Pretty sure you would have something to say about the lack of passion, dividing the fanbase and you wish we had appointed somebody who would have able to use the crowd as a 12th man to win matches...

I've said this before but a manager making mistakes isn't an issue. A manager making the same mistakes IS.

Lampard made the mistake of thinking this squad was capable of playing the football he wanted to play, we got some good results at home and got slapped about by better teams.

He learnt that the team wasn't capable of playing high line, front foot football so he dropped us deeper and played on the counter. And we stayed up.

We stayed up because of the fans, a bit of luck and the manager being aware enough to change his system to get more out of the players. We go down under every permanent manager since Moyes (Ancelotti aside) if they were given the same task as they would've stuck to their philosophy as we went down.

I think I still have some sort of PTSD from Marco Silva refusing to pick anybody different and then making exactly the same subs every week at the same time.

What were the numerous mistakes just out of interest?

Took him a month to realise our defenders can't play the ball out
His away tactics were nothing short of a disgrace
Stumbled upon a positive position for Iwobi then promptly changes him to a wing back
His reluctance to attack a defeated, injury struck just relegated Watford could have cost us in the long run
Lack of motivation and tactics in the 1st half vs Palace (will give him credit for changing it in the 2nd

They are just off top of my head

So you expected him to straight out of the gate know every strength or weakness of the playing staff.

There are not tactics at Everton. Even ancelotti found out the best way to play this lot is sit deep.

I love when people go the lack of motivation. Like you were in the dressing room and witnessed him sucking the motivation out of them. Thats a cliche line from fans desperate to point a finger. First half was a combination of they froze and diabolical individual errors.

He had 4 months to pick a squad off its knees when he walked in. I saw him try everything. Praise them(they didnt deserve). a kick up the arse. Anything to get a reaction from them.
Im old enough now to have seen so many Everton teams and squads. And this is the one i think is possibly the hardest to get anything from.

He's not beyond criticism. Far from it. But im done with this level of stupidity constantly attacking the manager when the personal just isnt there.

When we're playing as well as we did against Spurs on opening day under Ancelotti, I'll consider it progress. Until then, it's the same ol'.

It was only 0-1 but it was something I haven't seen from u since, sadly.

Says a lot that was nearly two years ago. Even then pickford made saves to keep us in that game.
But i agree. We're a shocking team in general to watch. The midfield makes me want to stab glass in my eyes.
